With three friends, I was attending a race meeting at Silverstone and booked this hotel online for the Saturday night. We booked two twin rooms. On arrival, we were greeted at Reception in a very friendly manner. We were quickly booked in and then shown the location of our rooms, as well as the location of the dining area for... More

My husband and I booked in for our second stay at The Bell last weekend when our daughter was competing at nearby Addington Equestrian Centre High Profile Dressage. We checked in on Friday afternoon - between dressage tests and explained that we would like dinner with our daughter and her groom but would be arriving late as her last test... More

Lovely room, spacious with four poster bed, comfortable bed and pillow. Great bathroom, good bar food, and a staff whose attitude is "nothing is too much trouble!" There is ample parking in the rear, great beer selection, and a friendly crowd of locals.

I stayed here on 06/01/2015, whilst in the area on business. I had a very pleasant welcome at reception. My room was very warm and comfortable, indeed so warm that I had to open a window during the night. I had a couple of beers in the bar. The bar staff were very friendly and courteous as were the locals.... More

The hotel itself looks great, large sprawling place, inviting us in on a trip from Derbyshire to Sussex, needing a sandwich to keep us going. It's a characterful Inn, bustling with life, the beer was good, the service wasn't bad, though they seemed understaffed for the number of punters that were in! The sandwiches were OK, I had roast beef,... More

I'm a regular drinker in the bell and over the years have spent much money here and will continue to do so as it's nice for a drink and the staff are very nice. Sometimes you can have a great meal here and sometimes it can be below average. Between Christmas and New Year a family member stayed for a... More

Chose hotel because of location. Lovely old buildings. Room was a little small and bathroom tiny. But clean and staff very friendly. Breakfast was really good. Tasty, fresh and good value at £7.50 each. Good atmosphere in bar and on village square with good car parking.

The room we stayed in was a bit stuffy, I think the windows were hard to open and probably not done so in a long time. But it was otherwise clean and tidy and an interesting place to stay at. We loved reading about its past, and imaging what it may have been like back then. It's a very old... More
