My wife and I stayed at this hotel 10-12 July 2014. it was great. As well as being a hotel it is a local pub. I strongly recommend the food - the ribeye steak was huge and extremely tender. As this is a building going back hundreds of years it is quaint and like a rabbit warren. The rooms were a... More

I was very upset that the room we stayed in had the window padlocked, and the frame was thick in paint so would not have been opened for many years, which meant no air, and on a very warm night with NO air conditioning, it was really not acceptable. We had a noisy electric fan which did not cool the... More

I got a room on the ground floor facing the courtyard. Unfortunately it does get very noisy, and it is not great to have a table full of people drinking beer just outside your bedroom. None of the windows open, the only option to get fresh air is to open the main door, but if there customers there they look... More

Stayed here for one night while visiting friends locally. Yes it is a bit of a maze but that's the way it is.. Very reasonable prices (phone hotel for a better than any internet price) Staff couldn't do enough.. Extremely friendly... Young girl on reception was lovely. Stayed in the jacuzzi room. Massive room. Very clean. A couple of little... More

Definitely not a hotel for the puritans! Rooms everywhere and every shape and size - none being in the main building. Restaurant closed most evenings but Tuesday Carvery was excellent. Meals otherwise have to be taken in the bar areas. Breakfast was ample and the scrambled eggs were sublime! Ideal spot to visit Bletchley Park and surrounds. Staff were great... More

I don't know where some of these reviewers stayed but anyone who is satisfied with the accommodation at The Bell must have had one of the four "special" rooms. When we arrived, we were shown to an annex building across the street and told to follow the signs to the room. This was a joke! The building was a rabbit... More

This hotel usually does a good carvery on Wednesday lunchtime which my friend and I have used in the past It has been refurbished in the last 6 months but when we turned up today no carvery was available due to low demand. We were advised to book before going in the future and they would organise it for a... More

This hotel is good value considering what else the area has to offer. The hotel and rooms are very dated but that goes with the character of the hotel and the village in general. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

I shared a twin room with a friend and both beds had the most awful mattresses ever. They were cheap and so worn that the springs stabbed at every turn. It was so bad that I had to sleep on top of the duvet and my friend had to sleep top to toe in her bed. This was pointed out... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to The Bell Hotel Winslow, ideally located for anyone seeking an Aylesbury hotel or Milton Keynes hotel. Our hotel lies in the centre of the historical market town of Winslow, enriched with quaint boutique stores and situated in the midst of the Buckinghamshire countryside. All our bedrooms are en-suite, well appointed and comfortable with tastefully colour coordinated fabrics and furnishings. We provide four executive rooms with the luxury of jacuzzi baths and four poster beds, as well as three family rooms and our range of double, twin and single rooms. In late 2012, the hotel was purchased by its previous owners who are once again providing a daily 'hands on management' approach towards the running of the hotel. Very popular with local residents of the town, "Rosies" Bar has now moved to the hotel and their well known management offer a wide range of Beers, Wines and Spirits along with an extensive and appetizing Bar Menu, created by their original chefs. The Bell Hotel is composed of "Rosies" Bar, plus a Carvery Restaurant - serving up to 160 people - a TV lounge, Coffee Lounge and ample free parking for all guests. Free internet access is available in all public areas. We supply meeting and conference facilities as well as catering for a large number of private functions and weddings for which we also hold a civil ceremony license. We look forward to seeing you here at The Bell Hotel. ... more   less
