Three of us dined here recently. We didn't want anything posh or over the top just a decent meal and somewhere to sit and chat- we got both at The Bell. A nice old fashioned bar with a great choice of different drinks.A very comprehensive food menu with daily specials as a supplement. We all settled for pork and mushroom... More

Stayed with work and it makes a very nice change from a chain anywhere hotel, in fact it was the opposite of a bland hotel. The staff were friendly. The hotel was old and old fashioned but in a nice way. I was in the annex from the main building, the room was nice enough and quaint and felt very... More

Hotel staff are very welcoming and the rooms are clean and tidy. Free decent strength Wifi was a real bonus. The bars selection of real ales was a bit disappointing . I didn't sample the bar menu but there was a few people eating what looked like good wholesome food. Price was fair and would stay here again.

Stayed at the Bell on Saturday and was given an up grade to a nice room, however my husband is 6ft 3"" and the door way to the bedroom is ft 5 ft 10" ........he hit his head quite badly and I did point that out to the receptionist , "oh dear",says she? I also pointed out that it would... More

Was a booked into this hotel by work, not where I would normally stay. He staff were friendly but the rooms were a bit dated. The rooms were noisy. Breakfast was okay but no more. Car park was full, had to park in pay and display opposite, which starts charging from 8.30.

This was our second stay at The Bell, a large group of us met up there and booked about 10 rooms, we made a lot of changes to the booking and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Yes the decor is a bit dated, the plumbing a bit dodgy in places - but it works. But the overall experience... More

From the moment I booked on line, we had good service. There were only one of each type of room available, so I booked a twin and a double for my father and myself. 15 minutes' later, I received a phone call asking if we would like to have two double rooms. Brownie point No 1! When we arrived, we... More

Working in Aylesbury we were lodging in Winslow some 10 miles away in the lovely town of Winslow, our "local" was the Bell Hotel in the town square. Low beams, lots of character and friendly staff and locals. The food Is good typical 'pub grub' so don't expect Heston Blumenthal. For £9;00 you get a wholesome meal, the beer is... More

I was staying overnight about 10 miles away and didn't fancy the evening meal on offer there, but I'd seen The Bell Hotel earlier, in passing, and noted its blackboard outside advertising the Carvery 7-9pm - which surprised me, on a Saturday evening: I'm used to these carveries being Sunday lunchtime only - and so I went back and found... we were in room 18. We thought it was great on arrival. However, there were 3 issues. 1. there was only one bedside table!!! caused prob!! 2. the kettle could only be plugged in far away from the tea/coffee!! 3. the toilet was one of those horrible things not plumbed into the main sewerage and so flushing was a problem!!...
