Enchanting cottage, spotless, comfortable and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and I was made to feel like an old friend. By far and away the best B&B I have yet to experience and I shall definitely return to The Old Stables when I'm next competing at Addington. Perhaps I shouldn't eulogise too much otherwise I might find myself... More

This was such a cute place, tucked away in a lane, just perfect for our family of 5. We had 2 bedrooms & 1 bathroom upstairs with very comfy beds, big TV with lots of dvd's available that made for a nice quite night in. It was only a couple of minutes to walk into the town square with several... More

A lovely B&B and a charming host. We had an excellent weekend at the Old Stables, largely due to Jeff's relaxed and friendly manner. The breakfasts were great and the house is lovely, but these are irrelevant when compared to the warm welcome we received on arrival and throughout our stay. I'd happily stay again and would thoroughly recommend it... More

When we visit family in the UK we typically spend the first night at a B&B to recover from the nine hour over-night flight before driving on. Having stayed in the Winslow area before we decided on The Old Stables based on affordability and the encouraging e-mail responses from Jeff to our enquiries. Jeff proved to be a very accommodating... More

My family stayed here recently and we loved the relaxed atmosphere. Jeff made us all feel so welcome and our 3 kids loved running around the house. The rooms were lovely and clean and to walk downstairs to such a beautiful kitchen all set up for breakfast each morning was lovely. It truly was a home from home and in... More

Jeff was very friendly and accommodating, letting me check in early so that I could get ready for a wedding I was attending later in the day. The cottage and rooms were quirky and quaint yet with modern amenities. Breakfast was yum and I was made to feel very welcome. I would recommend 'The Old Stables' to anyone staying in... More

We really appreciated Jeff's relaxed approach, we were made very welcome - even with a 9month old cruising around! The breakfasts were superb - full english each morning. The rooms were beautifully done, in keeping with the character of the property. The additional childs room was a really useful feature of this B and B (part of the family suite)... More

If you're looking for a relaxed environment, this is the place. 18th century stable house converted into charming ensuites. Very clean and located in a quaint part of town on a little back street. Great place to tour the surrounding sights. More

We could not have been made more welcome - I hesitate to recommend too highly - fearing only that Jeff will be fully booked when next we need to stay in his lovely home!! More

Jeff really takes care of his guests and you really feel like you are just staying over one of your friends home as that is how comfortable and welcome it feels when you are there. Also, breakfast is a treat and we even got homemade gourmet baked beans, yum! Definitely my choice place to stay in Winslow. More
