My wife arranged a surprise birthday party for me at the hotel. We had 60 guests and everyone, including a large number of vegetarians, enjoyed the dinner. Having read some of the reviews here, my wife and daughters were a little apprehensive about using the hotel. However, everyone at the hotel was very helpful and professional in their approach to... more

Bekir and his staff couldn't have given our son and now daughter in law a better start to married life. All our friends were very happy. We did spend a lot of time planning this and everything paid off for us more

It was an OK stay but nothing to write home about. All the staff seem to be of eastern eurpoean background so communication is quite difficult. The room I had seemed to be refurbished but not on any grand scale and the increase in price for what was in the bedroom wasn't really worth it. Most hotels these days have... more

My husband and I stayed at the Burnham Beeches hotel for 1 night following a wedding at the nearby Tudor Barn. The hotel from the outside is very impressive - it's a beautiful old building with lovely parkland views and plenty of parking. However sadly this once lovely building is let down by a general air of disrepair. Upon walking... more

I booked this hotel through their website, saw beautiful photos and claims, and had high hopes for our weekend break. How disappointed we were. The food, whilst good, was extortionately priced, as were the drinks. The service staff were very pleasant and eager to please, but this doesn't make up for the cost of eating there. We had a number... more

We stayed at the Burnham Beeches Hotel with family to celebrate a special birthday. The hotel was probably once something special, but is now very tired. We stayed in the 'new' block of modern rooms. These have little character, you could be anywhere, with nothing to tie them in to the historic main building. Most of the staff, whilst friendly,... more

Food was overpriced and distinctly average. Beer at over £5 a pint makes Norway look cheap. Staff were friendly, on the whole. The wedding couple's room was occupied when they entered, they were moved to another room which was also occupied. No apology from the management. Poor. Water failed in the room the night before. No apology from management, very... more

The room - small, dirty, hot (with an air-con unit that was not plumbed so it blew cold air and at the same time a scorching sirocco), good shower, window that wouldn't shut, no sound proofing (wedding party downstairs kept me awake for hours) The service - some of the employees were lovely but don't let this take away from... more

Its been 10 years since I stayed here. i remembered it as a bit posher than it is now. Great grounds and very helpful staff. Rooms a bit small in the newer block and there could have been better attention to detail on the bathroom fittings (loose shower connection, bits of tap missing, meagre soap and shampoos). Generally an ok... more

US$14 for a bottle of beer- and US$220 for a room that was small and tired- there is better value to be had elsewhere. The staff were excellent as was the breakfast but this hotel is trading on past glories and has futuristic prices for beverages. Spend your or you company's hard earned cash somewhere that gives better value. more
