We booked a night and dinner at Cliveden House on reference from our first choice accommodation who were fully booked for the Saturday evening. We had an absolutely fabulous stay in spite of some renovation work on going. My wife and I stayed in the Prince of Wales suite with the kids in another building near the spa. I would... More

Amazing Place to stay, The service is second to none although very formal still very friendly. The outside areas are outstanding, the gardens beautiful well kept and immaculate and the pool and treatment area is so peaceful and relaxing. We would love to go back to Cliveden one day

My husband was a footman here over 20 years ago and it has long been his dream to return as a guest. We did in July 2014 and it was an absolutely fantastic weekend steeped in history. The service from pulling up at the main house, through check-in, at the spa and in the restaurant were absolutely first-class. The history... More

My goodness, what a trip down memory lane that must have been for your husband. I am sure it would all have seemed so familiar to him. I was delighted that your whole experience was enjoyed and that you were comfortable in the Sutherland room. It is wonderfully light and bright and looking its best after its recent refurbishment. I... More

This country house is special for the gardens, the location on the Thames, the house itself. One word of caution: NO A/C. Usually the temperature is cool enough in the evening that A/C is not needed but if it is exceptionally hot then you may be uncomfortable. Great walking trails on the grounds. Take a champagne boat ride on a... More

A review of hits and misses, I thank you for the positive remarks and please know that we will use your feedback in a most constructive way. The lack of air conditioning is a challenge for us and our guests on the most extreme of hot summer nights. We would love to install air con but operating as we do... More

I treated my mom to a stay at Cliveden House Hotel for her 60th birthday & we were completely delighted with every aspect of our stay. The staff were so friendly & helpful, the grounds & house are absolutely stunning & the meal we had in the Andre Garrett restaurant was spectacular - cooked to perfection, flawless service & my... Thank you for your lovely review. The personal touches that you mentioned are the very thing I tell my team as the most important elements of any guests stay. Every hotel sells accommodation, food and beverages but what makes a visit to Cliveden stand out in their minds are the kind and thoughtful gestures throughout their stay. We will keep... More

Cliveden remains unique in being the grandest, most opulent and gorgeous palace-turned-hotel I have ever been to. This was my fifth visit, first time since our wedding there five years ago. There is something almost surreal about the idea of residing there for a few days - truly living like a king. I shan't go into the details of how... More

I was given vouchers for my birthday for Cliveden so we had a two part celebration! For the first part, my husband, baby daughter and I visited for afternoon tea (not for the first time!). If you're thinking about getting married at Cliveden you should absolutely do it. We got married here on 28 June and couldn't have asked for a better experience. There are so many areas Cliveden excel, I'll try to highlight just some. - Wedding Planning: right from when we decided to get married here, Emma the wedding co-ordinator was magnificent, nothing... We spent a wonderfully warm sunny afternoon at Cliveden followed by a sumptuous afternoon tea. Amazing selection of teas to choose from and an array of sandwiches, scones and cakes. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. An excellent afternoon.

The Reception rooms at Cliveden are just the perfect setting for afternoon tea. I have a lovely photograph of Lady Astor taking tea with her family, so all we are doing is keeping up traditions. I am delighted you enjoyed your surroundings and found the tea to be delicious. Hopefully you will set out to repeat the experience soon. Kind... More

We stayed at Cliveden in June of 2014 for one night with our daughter. We had an incredibly delicious dinner in the restaurant: probably the best food to be had in England.
