My wife and I were at Cliveden for one night in March. The suite was the most sumptuous we have ever stayed in and throughout the staff treated us, and our two dogs, like royalty. Every need was anticipated; large cushions/beds, leads, bowls and food for our two daschshunds, related reading matter informing us about historical Cliveden, and every comfort... More

Great meal, apple crumble but not has we no it!!! Thank you for making our... More

I have stayed at Cliveden since I was a child and so notice the changes. Everything must change but the dining room furniture was very poor, also the sitting room where the new furniture does not sit easily with a house built in 1851. Lunch was excellent and our waiter outstanding. He is from Hungary and his attention to detail... More

Stunning building in a fantastic location benefitting from the river on its door step. It's a very pretty place with equally good service to chewton glen but it just hasn't got as much of that wow factor for me, but that's completely down to personal opinion and style. My room was beautiful, dining room is very classic and the staff... More

A beautiful setting for an excellent hotel - took my husband here for a treat and we both loved the place. From the moment of arrival - the staff had the right approach, the best welcome AND - it would appear - a true love for what they do!! Just the right 'banter' between the staff and the clients. Beautiful... More

Cliveden obviously starts with a lot of advantages over other country house hotels; proximity to London; stunning setting; scandalous history; lots of NT volunteers maintaining it. But even with these it simply does everything better than any of the others I have personally stayed at. Its main assets are its staff, of which there are many, who are simply very... More

Welcome to Cliveden House, the hotel which has it all. And has it all it certainly does, in spades. The building itself is magnificent, although be warned at the mo' it is 'decorated' with scaffolding and builders galore. But don't let that put you off, the moment you're inside, and are wowed by the beauty and sumptuousness of the interior... More

We have just had lunch for the first time since the restaurant was refurbished. The welcome was excellent and the restaurant cosy, but stunning. The seating is comfortable with well-upholstered chairs, the chandeliers sparkle and the general décor, including curtains looks superb. Again, I appreciate the clean, white, crisp tablecloths, napkins and shining, substantial cutlery. The service was efficient, friendly,... More

Wowowowowow - a stunning property and the most charming team. We loved our little break here - an unrivalled treat! We stayed in the Canning Suite which was incredible - space, luxury, beautiful furniture and decorations. The hotel is mid refurbishment and it is looking splendid, so careful and honest keeping to its history. Dinner was another triumph as was... More

I took my mum and grandma to Cliveden for afternoon tea today (was their christmas present) and was so happy that I did. I booked easily over the phone and even recieved a lovely phonecall yesterday to confirm the booking and ask if we were attending for a special ocasion/if there was anything they could do for us. The food... More

A lovely review, thank you. Very happy to read that it was a much enjoyed family visit to us. A good afternoon tea is a great way to while away an afternoon. The added bonus at Cliveden is that you can then stroll in the magnificent National Trust Gardens, a must do Spring, Summer or Winter. See you soon we... More
