I can't praise the staff of this lovely, classic converted coaching inn too highly for their friendly welcome and the attention we got during our stay. We were there to attend a local wedding, and despite being fully booked over the whole weekend and in mid-housekeeping, they found us a room to change in at midday,pre-ceremony. The restaurant staff were... More

I stayed here recently whilst on business. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast the following morning was a good start to the day and was served hot and on hot plates which was a nice touch. My room was ok but for me was far too hot although there was a desktop fan in the room which helped.... More

Having held our wedding at Villiers we have always been somewhat apprehensive about having a return visit. Nevertheless we did and I must say we were very disappointed with the state of the hotel or certainly our room. To be generous you would say faded glory but stained carpets, worn upholstery and peeling paint would be more accurate. Whilst the... More

Dear Seanf310, Thank you for taking the time to write your Review. I was saddened to read that your wedding memories of Villiers Hotel have been marred following your recent stay, as it appears that you were allocated a room on this occasion that is part of a refurbishment programme. I am sorry that we failed to meet your expectations... More

Stayed for 1 night and it was adequate. Décor in need of revamp and not the cleanest of places to stay. The room was very hot and although large with comfortable beds it was rather shabby and in need of upgrading. The cleaner hadn't done a very good job either! Bathroom was past its best and needed ripping out and... More

Dear Anne F I have read your recent review with great interest. It appears we have fallen short in our quest for excellence. I am glad you enjoyed the comfort of our beds and our A La Carte Hot Breakfast selection which most other hotels will charge for the privilege. I am truly sorry you felt breakfast service was slow.... More

The room was adequate but lacked shower cap but otherwise was fine. We did not use the bar or restaurant so I have no complaints in this area. My main complaint was with the breakfast service. The food was of a high standard but the arrival was a bit slow. I had many many miles to drive so I wanted... More

Dear softwareBizNic, Thank you for your feedback following your June stay. I am sorry to read you could not find the complimentary Shower Cap, had we known at the time this would have been rectified for your wife immediately and a Shower Cap delivered to the room. I apologise that you waited so long for your freshly cooked breakfast and... More

Upgraded to a Superior room before arrival - very nice and comfortable. I would sack the cleaner and their Supervisor because they hadn't paid attention to detail, two ear stud fasteners on the floor, bedside light bulb not working, draw on curtains did not fully close. Food excellent served in a very nice restaurant. Wifi virtually useless in the bedroom,... More

A stop over on our way from Wales to the Suffolk Coast. Lovely old inn around a courtyard. It has been modified to provide a comfortable stay and an excellent restaurant. We had an amazing rate which included an excellent dinner and breakfast. Very comfortable bed and the room met all our needs. Wifi in the restaurant was good but... More

Villiers Hotel bills itself as the only 4-star hotel in the market town of Buckingham. The staff are extremely accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant was truly a cut above. We would definitely book here again when we return to Buckingham.

Lovely hotel well situated in Buckingham, good size rooms with everything you would need, large bathroom with bath and a shower, I would prefer a shower screen over curtains but it was clean! The bed very very comfortable, staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very nice. We didn't eat the in the restaurant on the evening the the... More

The stay was good value and the hotel kindly gave us a quiet room. Unfortunately it was as hot as Hades and we were grateful for the small fan in the room. The room was large and well equipped but the fridge was 'hot' instead of cold and as a result our milk went off! Someone came to look at... More
