Took us a while to determine the hotel was definitely the correct building-there are no signs! This lack of signs continues inside-rooms have no numbers and toilets are not labelled male or female...having said this it isn't hard to ask and everyone is more than helpful. Gorgeous decor throughout-total luxury and no expense spared. The cocktails in the bar are... More

This was our second visit to Beaconsfield's secretive-looking Crazy Bear. We had reserved a suite, along with evening meal and breakfast, as part of a living social voucher deal, our previous visit being full price no concessions. A great yardstick to measure the service by. We expected due to some recent reviews and our package, maybe a slight downturn in... More

great place!! stayed a night in the superior 2 room which i had decided to go rather than the suite which a friend recommended, however as i booked 60min massages, i figured i would go for the superior. The room was amazing on arrival, we were wowed by the many different things in the room, e.g ceiling filling roll top... More

What a delightfully OTT experience. Stopped overnight on a last minute deal and delighted in the randomly over the top décor, not sure that I was their ideal guest - it seemed to 'older gentlemen and their secretary' or football players n gf's - clichéd consumers - but not the hotels fault. Didn't dine so can't comment on that. The... More

I took my husband for an overnight stay to celebrate his birthday, booked through Secret Escapes. We had eaten here a few years ago so knew it would be a quirky place. We stayed in a deluxe room and included in the price was a 3 course meal in the English restaurant, breakfast the next morning and a bottle of... More

My husband and I had a 2 night stay the room was fantastic, the food was excellent the whole 2 night stay was wonderful. Only one slight annoyance was one snotty, young silly member of staff who made a point of commenting in a contempt way that we had book through Secret Escapes. Well what we saved will probably be... Very disappointing trip to the crazy bear, poor service, dirty room and put in a room across the road from the hotel. I didn't mind the room looking like a brothal but in the town house the rooms arn't big enough to swing a cat! Portable air con unit was well needed but sounded like a steam train and meant... More

We took advantage of a Groupon coupon to have the Classic Sushi and Dim Sum Tasting plate plus Bellini cocktail for just £19 a head. Wow! Great value indeed. Really wonderful food and impeccable service. We might have expected the Bellini to be a touch weak but no way. This was the real thing. A nice touch. We were bothered... More

I decided to take my wife here for her birthday and booked a Townhouse room (the last one available) for £290 per night. Whilst quirky, the room was tiny and very dark - certainly not worth the astronomical price tag. Heaven knows what was hiding in there, as it was impossible to see if it was at all clean and... More
