I visited this place for dinner with my boyfriend. It was very last minute as we were waiting on the reserved waiting list for a table at the artichoke; to no avail. The restaurant/inn accommodated us. To be honest I was pleasantly surprised as the food was fresh, really tasty and hearty and the pub restaurant had a home cooked,no... More

My husband and I spent a week in Amersham at the Saracens Head and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. From the moment we arrived all the staff were really friendly and helpful. Before we even went I phoned to ask whether there would be a mat in the shower as my husband is not very steady... More

I stayed here for a night on a business trip. First let me start by saying that the Pub is exactly what you envision when thinking "traditional". Warm, inviting, friendly and built in 1620. It has everything you could possibly expect. In fact, I'd say it's one of my favorites that I've visited in all my trips to England. It... More

Stopped here for lunch after visiting the hospital over the road. A very friendly welcome, and the food was excellent. Hugh portions, my husband had Cod and Chips, but it was more like Whale and Chips. Very good though.

Just returned home after a two night stay at The Saracens Head. i understood at the time of booking that it was a pub, but underestimated just how noisy it would be. The room was situated next to the pub on the main street, so traffic noise was a big problem, even people walking past in conversation felt like they... More

I loved staying in this hotel. Good food, good room, Great location and Kerry could not have been more helpful. Had a few pints in the courtyard and the garden too. Will be back when in the area without a doubt.

I booked a night at the Saracen's Head for after being blown away by the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. I came away terribly disappointed and wondering whether my fellow reviewers had stayed at the same place as me! My girlfriend and I were "greeted" upon arrival by a very surly and uninterested barman, who barely looked up when we arrived.... More

Have had the pleasure of a few lunches at the Saracen's Head and without exception all have been lovely. The atmosphere in the bar is very relaxing and they have a lovely outdoor space fro the odd occasion that the weather is nice. Hoping to have an evening here soon to sample dinner. Unfortunately live too close to be able... More

We stayed here after an extended visit to the area. Staying in a room to the side of the pub, we had all we needed for a comfortable night. We went into the bar for the evening for a quick drink and ended up staying the night soaking up the bubbling atmosphere and great tunes provided by their regular singer.... More

Terrific welcome from everyone here which is great. There are only 7 or 8 rooms, but they are nice, ensuite rooms in the courtyard at the back of the pub, and its quiet, even though your in the middle of Amersham's main street. Breakfasts are excellent and the hosts couldn't be nicer or more obliging. The only thing that disappointed... More
