We finally found our way in the dark, quite late at night and immediately were welcomed by a friendly barman who showed us to our room which was spotless, charming and very comfortable and quiet. We had a few drinks in the bar and was amused by the last drinks bell and regrettably went to bed. Next morning we were... More

Spent one night is Amersham to visits friends. They recommended Saracens. It was great. Small quaint room in a very nice location. Rooms are adjacent to bar with great food. Room cost included full proper English breakfast. People who run it are wonderful nice and helpful. Thanks for making me feel comfortable!

This is a traditional country pub. Good selection of beers, "hearty portions" of food and staff and customers who make one feel welcome. The downsides are: Noisy rooms. If you think the ones on the street are bad, the ones in the stables are even worse since they are right beside the courtyard and garden, both of which are used... More

My wife and I made a very last minute reservation for a room to attend an event in Amersham. We had tried other places and all were full but The Saracens Head was not. We thought perhaps there may be a reason so when we arrived late Saturday pm we were very pleasantly surprised to be shown to a large... More

This is my first ever review but I felt The Saracens Head Inn was worthy of a review. I arranged light refreshments for 20 people after my Aunt’s funeral yesterday and I couldn’t fault anything. The food was excellent and plentiful and the staff couldn’t do enough to make sure that we all enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was great and... More

We stayed here as we were attending a wedding nearby and only needed a bed for the night. Our room was OK but only had sky lights so would have been rather dark if we had had to spend any time there. Breakfast was served in the bar and featured one of my pet hates wrapped butter and plastic portions... More

We spent a Saturday night in Amersham, granted it was a bad time as it was their "fun weekend" when a truly Stephan King carnival was covering the entire main street.. and so the Saracen's head pub was VERY busy. However, the room was right above the pub and was very noisy until 11:30 (about) and then the person(s) in... More

We would recommend this hotel to any traveller to the UK. Kerry and his team made us very welcome and made sure we had everything we wanted. The food was not only of a very high standard but well presented. The service at the bar also excellent.

Booked this hotel two months ago reserving two double rooms for a wedding on the 3rd and 4th of october as part of the wedding party .Just been informed after this length of time that they are double booked and we shall have to be accommodated elsewhere.Find this grossly unprofessional particularly as we have a number of friends staying there... I visited this place for dinner with my boyfriend. It was very last minute as we were waiting on the reserved waiting list for a table at the artichoke; to no avail. The restaurant/inn accommodated us. To be honest I was pleasantly surprised as the food was fresh, really tasty and hearty and the pub restaurant had a home cooked,no... More
