I've stayed here a number of times and I am always impressed. The pub is relaxed and the food spot on. The rooms are very clean, really traditional and more importantly, comfortable. I stay all over the country and this little gem is one of the best. Look out for this place in your travels.

Firstly the welcome was good and the room was small but adequate. The bed was clean and it was comfortable. Shower was clean and worked well. I would have liked shower gel, not just a little tablet of hand soap. I would have also liked some de-caf coffee with the hospitality tray along with more than just 2 of the... More

Popped in for a quick drink before heading off to the Indian Restaurant over the road. Fantastic welcome, good drinks, fair prices, log fire, home made pub grub menus, wish we had stayed longer! Will be back in Summer to spend time in pub garden and taste the puddings!

The Saracen's Head is an old coaching Inn in Old Amersham with loads of character. The rooms are very comfortable although some are over the bar which itself is typical of the building-log fires and very good beers.Kerry and his wife give a very warm welcome and look after you well!! The food is wholesome, well prepared and good value for money-likewise... More

Kerry and his staff made me feel very welcome as soon as I arrived. The room was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The food is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. I will be staying here for the third time in three months, I wouldn't stay anywhere else!!!

First I made a mistake in the dates I booked, no problem to the landlord, after a short phone call and secondly I had a great warm welcome from everyone there. The rooms are a little basic and there are some signs of damp at low level on the painted brickwork, if you get a room off the courtyard it... More

Myself and a few work colleagues went to The Saracens Head for Lunch to say ‘goodbye’ to one of our colleagues - there were 10 of us. We received a VERY warm welcome, the two guys out the front/behind the bar were absolutely fantastic, they were really attentive and couldn’t have done more to make our lunch any better!! Every... Went here for a pre booked lunch recently with quite a large group. Very warm welcome and directed some of us to alternative nearby off road parking by friendly landlord. Food fantastic - hot and fresh. Cosy and full of character with good atmosphere. Will be going back soon.

Stayed at Saracens for one night and loved it. Cosy pub and a larger than life owner. Food was great and portions very generous. Room was clean and got blown away by a wonderful shower. Will be going back soon. John Chesney Franks
