Our family visited for Sunday lunch on 24th January with another couple, their daughter and a friend. The roast beef was absolutely fantastic! Generous portions, a shared main for the two young girls and according to my husband, scrumptious homemade dessert! A great afternoon! Thank you!

Unfortunately due to capacity reasons I was unable to stay at my relatives' over the Christmas period. Fortunately I came across the Saracens Head Inn in Amersham. Due to the hospitable and welcoming nature of staff and landlord, I felt at home. The magic of Christmas provides comfort, warmth and generosity. The Saracens Head Inn embodied all the above. During... More

We have been here a few times now for Sunday lunch with my husband and adult children. Always enjoyed the atmosphere and great, simple home cooked food. Very friendly staff. Always a relaxing treat. They often have sport on the TV, which we like but also they are happy to turn it off as well. A very convivial atmosphere in the... More

Booked for 1 night 28th. Dec. Room smelled of smoke, offered other rooms, but cold and dingy. We cancelled and were told we would have to pay full price. Went back next day to discuss reduction in price, met by manager eating what looked like a mince pie which he continued to eat whilst talking at us in a loud, belligerent manner. He... More

We as a family of 6, booked a table for Sunday lunch. Booking is essential, as the Inn was very busy. We were warmly welcomed, and our table was waiting. This was important as 2 of our party are quite senior, and standing around would have been difficult. The staff were very helpful, and friendly. 2 of our party had... More

Arrived for one night stay, staff very nice even when busy at 6pm on a Friday eve, thought my room was very nice, out in the courtyard, private entrance to only two rooms off. My room had lovely beams, twin beds (very comfy) and lots of hot water for the shower in the morning! Breakfast was a spot on Full... More

We just spent one night at the Saracen's head. We booked our double room online and our friends and family booked by phone, in total we had 5 rooms as we were attending a friends 50th birthday. We arrived at 1.30pm and were shown straight to our room which was right next door to the bar with the door opening... More

We arrived on a busy Saturday afternoon and walked into the bar. We were greeted straight away and shown to our room. We had booked 5 rooms all together as we were in Amersham for a friends party. Our room was small but clean and comfortable, Adequate bathroom with good hot shower. We had lunch in the busy bar and... More

The bar was full of character and the food of a good standard, the staff were very friendly.Unfortunately the room we were staying in was not up to the same standards and was not worth the money at all. The room was grubby had not been dusted cob webs in corners and there was a damp patch of plaster on... More
