Friendly efficient check in and out. Choice of rooms offered chose an external "Bailey" room, so glad i did. Positioned in a block at the rear of the hotel, so no road noise. Modern & contemporary room. Most importantly, clean. Separate living room area with sofa, chairs, tables, lamps, TV & mini Hi-Fi. Good sized bathroom, decent shower, lots of... More

We have stayed at The Crown three times now and each time has been great. This time we had the Celebratory package in one of the courtyard rooms to which we then added an extra night, we were celebrating our wedding anniversary so wanted something a little special. The room was on two levels and very warm when arrived but... More

We stayed here Saturday night, lovely Inn with loads of character, we got a lovely room, big comfy bed & large shower, staff were very friendly & helpful, food was fantastic! The bar needs a bit of an atmosphere, no background music, however, we didn't want to leave & will definitely return! Amersham is a lovely little town also!

We stayed here for our anniversary for one Saturday night. Prior to arrival, mid week - we rang to confirm our stay. All good. The plan was to arrive at 130pm for lunch, then check in soon after (as officially check in was 2pm). We had also asked for a late check out on Sunday for 1pm which they happily... More

We stayed for 2 nights for a nearby family celebration. There are 2 sections - the older part of the building on the main road has a very olde worlde feel but can be a little noisy. The newer section at the rear is quieter, more modern and slightly cheaper. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The small complimentary... More

This is a quaint Inn with a lot of history. The best part was the super comfortable bed but our room lacked chairs for watching TV and was pretty cramped. It was warm due to proximity to the kitchen--even cooking smells wafted through the air! The upstairs bathroom was spacious and well equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful-when you could... More

We felt poorly welcomed and served at the Crown Inn. I had told the hotel that we were coming to celebrate an anniversary but they made no effort to acknowledge this. The receptionist handed us our key and said "it's up the stairs". A long walk up and down many stairs later we found a tiny room with barely a... More

I am really sorry to read this and will be having words with the reception team. our rooms are a mix of sizes as you would expect from a very old building. All the main inn rooms are done in the same style and have the same facilities, but are all slightly differnet shapes and sizes. However, it would have... More

I was disappointed by The Crown Inn unfortunately - perhaps as I had such high expectations. I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and first impressions were wonderful. Really old building with lots of character, modestly decorated and a beautiful courtyard, located in a chocolate box village. However our room was tiny. Really compact, with very little room to... Sarah - thanks for the feedback, disappointing as it is. The rooms are a mix of sizes and you do seem to have had one of the smaller ones. I am very sorry about the service aspects, that is not up to par. I will be reviewing this with the team here. If you are minded to give us another... More

We recently stayed at this Inn for a family wedding. This Inn is well known from the film Four Weddings and a Funeral. We booked a double room. The expectation for the price was to have a comfortable big room with all amenities you would expect from a 4star ranked hotel. The room was quite small, we had some sorts... More

I am sorry that we disappointed. Our rooms do come in all shapes and sizes as you would expect from an old building, but have the same decor and facilities. Thank you for the feedback on breakfast - we will keep improving. More

A beautiful hotel, very cosy and warm with friendly welcoming staff and delicious food. Would highly recommend this hotel for people wanting a little break from the city. It is in a great location and has some fantastic pubs and walks throughout the village. Would definitely go back!
