I booked through Buy-A-Gift as a relaxation day for my husband and myself. We each got a treatment included in the price. We chose Head in the Clouds; plus paid extra for further treatments. We found Henlow a bit tired and dated in places - tiles missing from the Jacuzzi, same décor in the restaurant that has been there for... More

Always been a fan of Champneys but Henlow feels like the poor cousin to the Tring Hotel. Henlow is tired and run down in places. The rooms are large and spacious but the beds are very uncomfortable - dont even have feather pillows. The bathroom smells like a hospital. There are fewer classes than Tring and we struggled to book... More

The visit was booked as a package deal through voyage prive and included a wrap treatment, dinner, breakfast and lunch. I requested a twin room overlooking the weir as suggested by other reviewers; lovely room but it would definitely be too noisy with the windows open in the summer. The meals were all good and plenty of it. The included... More

Im back again at Henlow, the first time this year, and with some girlie first time friends too who were very impressed with Champneys Henlow. I had a good time myself and its a lovely, get-away-from-it-all venue. I didnt have any treatments, except an eyebrow tidy, so cannot comment how good they were after my last disastrous visit....but my friends... More

My niece and I took advantage of the special offer made for day trips to Champneys in January. As Tring (our usual venue) was fully booked,we decided to try Henlow. It was far easier to find and there was plenty of parking. My overriding memory of the day, however, was how wonderfully helpful and warm the staff were, from receptionists... More

My friend kindly booked the two of us a spa weekend at Henlow. When we arrived at around 10am we were told we could only enter the facilities if we paid £24.95 (which we duly did). My friend had specifically phoned up to check we could check-in early as we were coming from London early and at no point was... More

Just got back from a break at Champneys Henlow. I bought this break with a voucher from Buyagift.com which was half the normal price of the usual stay. I therefore expected that we might be placed in one of the cheaper rooms with no view etc. But we were in a lovely courtyard room, it was clean, warm with comfy... More

We stayed for two nights at the start of 2016. We'd paid the supplement for a superior room and our room was at the top of the main house; threadbare carpets, mismatched furniture, missing parts of faucets, minimal/zero heating and absolutely no in-room wifi, definitely distracted from any sense of luxury or elegance. The beds, however, were very comfortable. The... More

I have visited this site quite a few times over the past 2 years, but this time The treatments were fully booked, changing rooms and showers (water) were cold, toilets were blocked (I reported but no one unblocked them in the corridor by the guest rooms) , checking out was slow and the hot tub by the pool still has... My daughter and I went to a Spa evening last year and had such a good time we decided to treat ourselves again this year and now hope to visit annually! We enjoyed the swimming pool, sauna, hot tub and steam room, visiting the shop, taking part in an exercise class and an excellent dinner with superb service. It was... More
