Stayed one night on a ground floor single room. Although the room was showing signs of wear, it was clean and tidy. The staff were very polite and friendly and the portions served when I ate, were generous. One night's accommodation cost under £30 for me with breakfast included. Tip - two evening meal main courses can be had for... more

We paid £49 for one night at the Highwayman and I was a bit worried when I read the reviews but we were getting an early morning flight and needed somewhere to stay that wasn't too near the airport and not too expensive. The staff and especially the receptionist were very friendly and when we got to our room it... more

We booked this through the Mail on Saturday special offer at £9.95 per person including breakfast. So wasn't expecting too much. Room turned out to be very small approx 2/3 of a Travelodge room. Beds were clean and comfy. Bathroom had loads of hot water and bath ran away very well not like some hotels we have stayed in. Breakfast... more

The room was adequate and the bedding and towels were all immaculate white and the bathroom was pristine. The radio alarm we couldn't work out how to... more

I stayed one night . The price including Breakfast was £20 for a single room B&B (£25 for a double)! this offer applies to Saturday nights only and at that price it is a bargain. The hotel is standard fairly modern (50 rooms)Travel Lodge style and comparable in quality and price at normal rates ~£45 double room midweek. The attached... more

Well were do we start. I think the easiest way to do this is to make a list. - On arrival you are greeted by a note in reception to say, "Phone ext 201 for assistance". Then eventually somebody from the nearby pub arrives to check you in. - They could not find my booking, for some reason they had... more
