$111 for a dingy room that lacked any updated decor! The tv looked like the only update period! Beds were uncomfortable! Comforter was old and ugly! Cracked toilet handle. Shower with cracks and black spots in the grout! If this is the best place to stay in this sad little town I feel embarrassed for the the town!

I've stayed here many times with work over the years. It is the hotel of choice in Atikokan. They have recently (within the last year or two) replaced the carpets in the rooms with a simulted hardwood floor...it's better than the carpets, but I've still noticed soft spots on the floor in certain areas (not a huge deal, just shows... I've been staying at the White Otter for years on the way in to Quetico Park. Campers going to the Park and road crews serving the Trans-Canada probably make up the majority of the guests, and the motel serves well. The rooms are clean, most are two queen beds (some connecting if you have a large party, but ask when... More

The rooms were fairly small, however they were clean. When calling to make the reservation, the girl on the phone was VERY rude (and obviously wanted to get me off the phone as quickly as possible) however, upon arrival, the check in was quick. It was a little over priced for what we got, however, in Aitokoken, there is not... More

I've probably stayed at the White Otter 5 or 6 times over the last several years. Rooms are fairly basic (think Comfort Inn - sink is in the "main" room, bathroom has toilet & shower/tub), but clean. There's cable TV and a small fridge in the room. The motel has a restaurant that's pretty good - and the service is... More
