My husband and I made last minute plans to go to the Vineyard and I spoke with Elise late on Friday to arrive Saturday. She was very nice and easy to talk to. We stayed in the first floor of the Inn which is actually a walkout basement that has been renovated. Soooo Cool!!!. The hot tub and a swing... More

I have never been to a more beautiful inn. Nor have I ever seen nature's beauty quite like what surround the Duck Inn. My room was charming and could look out on 2 sides of the field and ocean. The shower was hot, the breakfasts were amazing, the beaches were breath-taking and the sand was white. (stones, cows in pastures in... More

Other reviewers have more than adequately described this delightful inn and the excellent care taken by Elise in serving her guests. My husband and I stayed in the West U room with a deck facing the ocean and a view of the lighthouse which is well worth reserving. We booked a three night stay the third week of September early... Our family attended a wedding in the Aquinnah section of the Vineyard and were fortunate to find the Duck Inn which was close by. The positives are the proximity to a good beach ( 10 minute walk) which extends around the tip of the island and allows for long calm walks. There is a nude beach as part of that... More

My wife and I recently returned from a stay at the Duck Inn. We have been coming here intermittently for twenty years. It was so wonderful to see that all of the charm and quackiness of this b and b is still vibrant. From the outstanding organic breakfasts, to the closeness of the beach, the wonderful setting, it was all... More

I stayed 2 nights at the Duck Inn, having prepaid the total amount. I chose what I thought was a 1 bedroom suite on the first floor, which is stated on the website. I was willing to pay the extra money in order to stay on the first floor. To my surprise and shock I ended up in the basement... More

Elise has five spaces in her charming hilltop barn overlooking the Aquinnah lighthouse, furnished with vintage and duck-themed appliances and anything else that takes her eye. It all works, and you find yourself settling into an unselfconscious sort of comfort rare in the hospitality world. This is an inn with a sense of humor run by an innkeeper who is... More

We stayed in the Duck Inn this summer for three days. It was fantastic. It has a walk to a beautiful Aquinnah beach, excellent breakfast, great co-habitants and a beautiful setting and interior. The duck themed everything is a hoot, er, quack. We will definitely be going back next year.

Elise's Duck Inn is a charming house in the wildest part of MVI, perfect if you want to stay in the middle of fields, away from the touristic or "mainstream" areas of the island and ideal for relaxing, enjoying the nature, the ocean, sunsets and stars. The room I stayed is very spacious and functional, but also romantic. The common... More

My husband and I just returned from a May weekend on Martha's Vineyard and we are so glad we stayed at the Duck Inn. After visiting the entertaining and historic towns of Oak Bluffs and Edgartown we headed west towards the sunset and the empty beach at Gay Head/Aquinnah. Elise gave us a warm welcome, showed us around her beautiful... More
