Price-quality is very good here. You will get a comfortable and clean house on an excellent location close to Waipio Valley. The stars are amazing! Try to talk to the owner to explore a hidden magic walk at the back of the hostel with a view, even more beautiful than the lookout point of the Waipio Valley! Great experience...

Stayed there May June 2011, clean, comfortable, Stephen is a charming philanthropic host with stories and character that makes you respect his endeavours. Functional, inexpensive, an excellent base to explore the area, in particular Waipio valley and, if you're an adventurous type, try and find the Hiilawe falls.

This is a well located hostel for the Waipi'o Valley area BUT the bathroom is unacceptable. It hosts wet cement floors and very old fixtures. We didn't feel we could even sit on the toilet seat - sort of like an unmaintained campground bathroom. The bedroom was fine with clean comfortable beds.
