We had a great, quiet and relaxing week at the end of January at Casa Paraiso. Getting there is a bit of a challenge, but worth the effort. If you go, be sure to take along everything you might possibly need, as the supplies in town are very limited. Ben and Esther could not have been better hosts, and we... More

We spent our last days in Mexico in Casa Carolina. After a trip of 3 weeks throughout Yucatan it was heaven on earth. Beautifull environment, nice and clean, peaceful setting en very relaxed, friendly operators. Ben and his wife are tophosts.

Great stay. Accessible snorkeling from the deck that Ben just built. Amazing facilities considering the remoteness of the location. The wi-fi was lighting fast. Ben gave us an amazing introduction to the hotel and town. The hotel is very eco-friendly. Unfortunately, we only stayed two nights as we had already other plans but given the beauty of the dive sites... More

Who is looking for remote great diving and/or fly fishing this is the perfect spot. Casa Carolina has only 4 rooms with sea view and the beach is absolutely amazing. The owners, a lovely US/Mexican couple makes u feeling at home. Breakfast is a surprise every day, either American or Mexican style. A view hard facts: Watersports (canoing for free),... More

A buddy of mine stayed here for a fishing excursion. We were only going to stay a week but stayed on a couple of extra days. Ben and Ester were so helpful and welcoming that I felt like I was staying with family. The town of Xcalak is exactly what I envisioned. Quiet, friendly, and very safe. The polar opposite... More

We had a lovely time at Casa Carolina Paraiso! Ben and Esther are so friendly and welcoming. We loved the coffee and brekfast in the morning plus snorkeling and kayaking out to the reef in the afternoons. The views from the end of the pier, our balcony, and the rooftop of the stars at night are breathtaking. The sound of... More

Totally loved our stay at Casa Carolina! We used Canada Transfers to Tulum and stayed overnight there, picked up our tiny car in the morning. The drive down was super easy and fun, a little adventure of its own :) Loved our room and the breakfasts are heavenly! Ben and Esther are lovely hosts, you never know when Ben will... More
