We booked to stay at Casa Hamaca for one night only as a stop between Tulum and Chechen Itza but with hindsight we would've loved to have stayed longer. We were in the Red room which was spacious, spotless, well appointed (with hammock!)had a lovely bathroom with toiletries, a huge very comfortable bed and interesting Mexican decor. The children had... More

Casa Hamaca is a gem. The home and surrounding gardens are lovely. The entire staff is friendly and very helpful. Denis was very helpful with restaurant and sightseeing suggestions and even went out of his way to arrange travel for us to Ek Balam. Our room, the Red Room, was comfortable and meticulously clean as was the rest of the... More

Our stay at Casa Hamaca was 10 days of perfection! Casa Hamaca became our "home away from home" while exploring the wonders of the various Mayan ruins as well as being able to relax and enjoy the beautiful city of Valladolid. It is in a perfect location for getting to Ek' Balam, Chichen Itza and Tulum early in the day... More

Our family of 4 (kids 9 and 3) have a lovely stay at Casa Hamaca. We stayed two nights and were fortunate enough to have one of the larger upstairs suites -- with an absolutely gorgeous bathroom! Everything was clean and it is obvious that the staff take pride in their work. The highlights include: the best included breakfast ANYWHERE,... More

We enjoyed 4 nights at the guesthouse and Denis was very helpful with recommendations. The breakfasts were great and we had a lovely dinner there a couple of nights. We even bumped into some friends from back home when touring Casa de los Venados and they came back to the guesthouse for drinks and dinner. Denis was very hospitable.

We traveled to Valladolid for a weekend stay at Casa Hamaca. We arrived early in the morning hoping to be able to check in leave our bags and go out again for some sights. We were graciously accommodated and so very happy. The room was very large with two double beds that were comfortable. The only thing I would have... More

Denis makes every effort to ensure that you are treated like an honored guest in his amazing Valladolid home. From the excellent, comfortable breakfasts, to the clean, spacious rooms (even fitted with hammocks!) and the jovial, friendly staff, this is likely the best place to stay in all of Valladolid. To top it off, Denis ensures that he's there to... More

My wife and I visited this stunning place 6 years ago, and have been back 4 times, with a 5th already scheduled for next winter. We have brought all our children (4) and grandchildren to Denis's little tropical paradise, and they were all knocked out as well. Great healthy breakfasts, too. Vallodolid is a must visit when in Yucatan, IMO,... More

Fully agree with the other positive reviews; the place is great, the staff friendly, and Denis very helpful and knowledgable. Definitely worth visiting the Casa de los Venados if you have the slightest interest in art - it is stunning. Valledolid is an attractive town, just big enough to be buzzy and interesting. Very near Chichen Itza so it gets... More
