My family and I stayed with Dennis over the Xmas period and it was an unexpected and great pleasure. So if you're around that time of year I'd say don't miss out. Overall Casa Humaca was really great. A little walk to the square but also reasonably close to some other attractions in the town. More importantly the place is... More

2 Kids under 10, 2 parents, and 2 grandparents over 75...it felt like home base. Casa Hamaca is a great cultural bridge to the Mayan Yucatan--ruins, people, food. We stayed for 4 nights and had a truly enchanting time. We walked everywhere in town, even at night since town roads are narrow and there is traffic around main square. Denis... More

Casa Hamaca not only was extremely comfortable and beautiful but the owner, Dennis, made us feel like guests in his own home, instead of paying customers. An excellent place to stay and relax, while enjoying the beautiful area of Valladolid!

My wife and I spent one night recently to break up our drive across the peninsula from Cancun to Merida. This is a fine place to stay. I can't say for sure that it is the best in Valladolid as I haven't stayed anywhere else but I am reasonably confident that is the case. We have no complaints whatever and... More

Casa Hamaca was the perfect place to stay while I was exploring Mexico for the first time. This place is full of culture and truly pays homage to the rich history of Mexico. The staff could not have been better or more accommodating. I had the pleasure of meeting Dennis, the owner of Casa Hamaca. He is a truly great... More

I stayed at Casa Hamaca in June with my three children ages 11, 9 and 6 for a week in June. The kids loved spending afternoons cooling of in the pool and mornings spent searching the gardens for the iguana. My oldest has food allergies and the staff was mindful and accommodating to her needs. Casa Hamaca has a restaurant... More

This a beautiful little B&B with lots of character. It is in a great central location -- easy walking distance from the ADO bus station and lots of great things to see in Valladolid which is a bonus. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the included breakfast was delicious! The owner was very helpful with information regarding things... More

I just returned from a week-long stay at Casa Hamaca. I went there seeking a safe and comfortable place for a trip designed to be part retreat, part adventure, and part professional development. I felt completely at ease traveling alone because both the city of Valladolid and Casa Hamaca are so safe and secure. The staff was extremely helpful with... More

We spent two nights here in December and it was lovely and so relaxing! The guesthouse is beautiful and the style and decor are very reflective of the city of Valladolid. The rooms and all common areas are immaculate and the garden area is beautiful. The guesthouse is located in an extremely quiet area. The breakfast that is included is... More

Casa Hamaca was the perfect start of our trip to Mexico. We were traveling with our 2 year old and 5 year old. We were welcomed into the guesthouse (despite our 5 year old having a complete meltdown during check-in after 8 hours of travel). Although it was too cold for adults to swim in the pool, our kids were... More
