This is a great little gem of a hotel hidden away in the city. The rooms have a lot of traditional character and are all located around a hidden garden and pool area. The only tiny negative thing I'd say is the shower is quite weak.....I can live with that though as the rooms and staff were so nice. You... More

We found this gem of a place for our one nights stay in Valladolid, and so glad we did! We were staying in Tulum for most of our vacation, but wanted to experience an authentic Mexican city and with its close proximity to Coba (45 mins drive away) decided to stay a night before our day there. Casa Quetzal is... More

the moment you cross the door an exhuberant garden with a beautiful small pool welcomes you, location is excellent just in front of a massive old convent, our second surprise were the rooms; they are huge, they even have a hammock inside. very clean, no mosquitoes and the staff very friendly and helpful, they gave us some coupons for free... I loved valladolid. I wishes we'd stayed four nights as we didn't really get much chance to see the main square and walk the beautiful clean streets. I stayed here with my family a baby and a four year old. The room was enormous so loads of space. The bed was comfy. The shower great although took awhile to work... More

Lovely colonial hotel with beautifully decorated big rooms and nice staff. Pool looked nice for a dip, wasnt clean on our first day but was later. No free breakfast or water but you can request breakfast at hotel (need to let them know) or there is a place across the road YerbaBuena.

We've been here for three days, after several days at Chichen Itza and a week on Isla Mujeres, and regrettably we go home tomorrow. We've booked the Cabana Quetzal; room #8, the palapa suite in the garden behind the main hotel, which is charming, spacious and a bit quirky. It has a nice kitchen, comfortable chairs and hammock in the... More
