Maybe I am easily impressed and not the most sophisticated of travellers, but I was so very pleasantly surprised by this place that I would have been remiss to not write a review and help other travellers to the Yucatan and Valladolid specifically know that this is a very nice place.
We had spent two nights in Merida and were seeing Mayan ruins all around Merida, and were on our way to Playa del Carmen and Tulum (some more traditional touristy stuff and the ruins at Tulum) when we decided to stay in Valladolid, as a intermediate stop. So glad we did.
The town is very cute and there is a large cenote within walking distance of the hotel.
The hotel has apparently been recently updated as everything in and about the smallish room we had was new and sparkling. The a/c, and I always have complaints about a/c in Mexico, was fine.
