The hotel has nice rooms and a good restaurant in the patio. I liked to colonial feeling and the charming atmosphere. more

My husband and I stayed here for just the one night after visiting the ruins at Chichen Itza. Its location is excellent, being on the main square, and the courtyard inside where you eat was very pretty indeed. The room was perfectly adequate and overlooked the courtyard. The reason I am giving it 3 stars instead of 4 is because... more

We stayed here the night before we went to Chichen Itza. From the outside, the hotel doesn't look like much, but it's right next to a large town square that is very nice to stroll around in the evening. Once you enter the hotel, it's just lovely. A large courtyard (with tables around - this is the restaurant also). The... more

Let's make it clear. Standard rooms are very standard, and suites look like any american hotel. Cheap and soulless furnitures. The best part was me asking for a quiet room, and woke up at 9am by some hammers hits on columns of the patio... Going down to the reception, I realise that the motor noise I heard last night was... more

I could have written 2 reviews as I stayed here one night each about a week apart, but didn't want to make anyone suspect a fake review(s), so this is good for both separate stays. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, especially if you get one the older, further in the back "superior" rooms (a few dollars USD extra... more

The rooms are nothing special - clean, small, fine - no problems. The restaurant, couryard, pool area are lovely though. The location in the center of town on the square is great. You can walk to the market where women sell locally made clothing at great prices. Lovely town you shouldn't miss. If you don't stay at the hotel at... more

From the outside the hotel doesn't look like anything special, but it has an amazing courtyard, which also is part of the restaurant. Colonial style architecture, beautiful paintings, the place really looks it's best at night when it's lit by candles and is filled with the sound of the fountain. You don't have to be a hotel guest to eat... more

Stayed at Hotel Meson Del Marques as a base for a trip to Chichen Itza. It is located on the main plaza about a ten minute walk from the bus station. There's not much to see on the exterior however once you step inside the entrance you will find yourself in a beautiful colonial courtyard with a trickling fountain and... more

El Meson del Marques was a wonderful hotel. The location is great - right on the north side of the main plaza and in walking distance to the Cenote in town. The hotel staff was very polite, and the rooms were an extremely good value for the money. For $50 USD per night, the hotel was clean, and there were... more
