Situated directly on Parque Francisco Cantón, this hotel like has the best location in Valladolid. With its arches and central courtyard, the building is a classic Mexican style hotel. The rooms are a little tired with dated air conditioners and low hard beds but I was impressed with the restaurant and my stay at the hotel.

This is certainly a bargain price for a comfortable, clean bed and a fabulous buffett breakfast included. The room and bathroomcould use some updating. The curtains were somewhat falling off the rod. The air conditioner was not working but fortunately the weather was cooler than usual. There are very few outlets in the room for charging electronics. But the balcony... More

No complaint about the service and the people that worked there. The beds did not feel clean. We even saw black specks and nail polish stains in our sheets. I would not call it a hotel but more a hostel for students. Breakfast was good; well served by enthusiastic workers.

I accidentally left my Macbook in the hotel room. One of the cleaners(Carlos) found it and they immediately contacted me. Totally trustworthy. The place is nice, clean and friendly. Resturant food was good and my kids loved the pool. The buffet breakfast was well worth the money. We were in a room on the minor side street side of the... More

The place was hard to find the first time. They do have a parking garage and that is the best indicator as to where you need to be, but parking is limited and the area is small. But go South on Calle 42 (it's the main road going to 180 and is a one-way anyway) and look for a turn-in... More

We booked this hotel for 4 nights and could only stay one. It could be a nice place, but the beds and the linens are really old and did not seem clean. It is in a great location but it needs some serious sprucing up. I am not that picky but I can not stay where it isn't clean, we... More

Reading the reviews we were not expecting a lot apart from a clean room as you tend to get for what you paid for but apart from being outdated there were some major flaws with the place. The pictures first of all look a lot better then reality e.g. the pool in it's current state is not at all inviting... More

We had booked a 4 night stay in late December at this hotel, but had to leave after one night. The main problem we had was the noise - there were children running and yelling into the early hours of the morning, other clients standing outside our room talking, and loud music being played in neighbouring buildings. Our second issue... More

I booked this hotel as a base to explore chitzen itza and i was pleasantly surprised when i arrived to find a beautiful, classy hotel. The rooms could use some updating but overall it's a nice place located right on the main plaza.

Maria de la Luz hotel is super central, being on the main plaza. Everything (bus/colectivos/shops/restaurants/free town tour/tourist info office). Staff is attentive, room was small but clean. Bed was comfortable too. I would recommend this hotel for a good price deal.
