This family run hotel is magical. The authentic decorations speak of a much loved family residence, full of character yet with all modern necessities including free wifi. Breakfasts were large and home cooked - no need for lunch! Just wonderful place run by wonderful people in the splendid Valladolid.

We enjoyed our stay - largely due to the wonderful staff: sweet people, accomodating, anxious to help, knowledgable about their city/area, and just loveable, courteous people in general. The hotel is cute, the grounds are charming, the interior with all of the old tiles and photos of the family are fascinating - especially that glimpse of the kitchen. I found... More

My husband and I stumbled upon Casa Marlene while we were looking for a place to stay in Valladolid, we were drawn in thinking that it would probably be very expensive as it looked so delightfully put together, but we were surprised when it was very reasonable. They offered us a "walk in" discount, welcomed us, and immediately made us... More

This was an amaaaaazing find and I'm SO glad we stayed here. The location is perfect - right next to the main plaza, just one block from the main cathedral and the town square. Regardless of which portion of the hotel you stay at (Tia Micha or Marlene), the experience was wonderful. We were welcomed like family and all of... More

We stayed in the new wing of this hotel - "Casa Marlene" - a charming family run hotel with rooms set around a small pool and garden. The bedrooms were very large and the family were extremely friendly, helpful and generous. You will enjoy your stay here.

This hotel is a lovely place to stay when in Valladolid. It's very near to the main square and other places of interest and offers free secure parking. The staff were all extremely friendly and really seemed to enjoy welcoming us to their hotel. We had the honeymoon suite which was a great size with a large bed, table &... More

We spent 2 nights at Casa Tia Micha with our 2 teenage daughters last November and absolutely loved the experience. We loved staying in an old Spanish-style house right in the city, with all the family history on the walls. The breakfast area overlooks the garden, which is lovely. And the food served is outstanding - different every morning, all... More

WE checked in and loved seeing the multi-generational family photo gallery in the reception area of this family operated hotel. The staff was warm and gracious. The breakfast was lovely in the garden….But our room was so moldy that we moved after our first night.

We also had one of the room mix up situations, hard to tell if they are have issues w/ bookings on line or what the issue was. In any case they were more than accomodating, went out of their way to make it right. ALL of the staff were exceptional, friendly and delightful. Our room is comfortable, depsite having a... More

We stayed at Casa Tia Micha for two nights in late February 2014, and it was the perfect place to start our exploration of the Yucatan. The buildings, room and gardens were lovely and relaxing, and the staff fantastic. We spent some time in the courtyard our second afternoon, drinking beers and chatting with the chef about the native green,... More
