Villas Arqueologicas is very close to the entry of the Uxmal archeological site; which is nice on the one end but a bit claustrophobic on the other as the hotel does not have a wide open area but just a swimming pool with a restaurant terrace. Outside there is only another hotel or two and few boutiques at the site.... more

Hotel is two minute walking to Uxmal entrance! We seemed to be the ONLY guests and only car there that night. But you can tell they do get busy and it would be nice. I would say the hotel is unique and has character. The rooms are kinda small, with many arches inside, and low ceiling....seems like a cave, dimly... more

This hotel is sadly in need of updating and regular maintenance. The air conditioner in the first room did not work; they tried to tell me that was its "normal" temperature and was working fine. The unit in the next room worked well. The rooms were clean but the size of the regular rooms is incredibly small. The common areas... more

We couldn't believe the price, beauty and next to the pyramids. The price was incredible. Ask for the 3 nights deal (one is free). No TV in the rooms but you won't need it. We just booked for December! more

We recently stayed one night at Villa Uxmal and wish we had more time! We arrived early evening, leaving enough time to eat at the hotel before walking over to the Sound & Light Show at Uxmal. The rooms were unique and had great character. The courtyard area is beautiful, relaxing and romantic, with plenty of lounge chairs and a... more

I stayed one night at this hotel as part of a two week tour of Mexico. It didn't look much from outside and you drive right past a really expensive (for Mexico) looking hotel so we thought we had abit of a bum deal. I've no idea of cost of the hotel as it was part of a package tour... more

We spent 2 nights at this hotel while on an archaeology tour of the Yucatan. The rooms are on the small side with a full sized bed and a twin. They are nicely furnished in Mayan colors and the bath has ample hot water and modern fixtures etc. Air condtioning worked very well which can be important if you like... more

The position is excellent right beside the ruins, but quiet. The room is good value and there is a nice shower and loads of hot water. We were warmly greeted and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was very empty when we were there and they looked after us splendidly. The laundry service is efficient and cheap. Food is... more

January 25, 2009- I worked in the service industry from the mid 90's throughout the 00's. I was able to travel to numerous destinations. I give Villas Arqueologicas one of the highest ratings. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxed. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The pool area is quiet, yet great for meeting other guests. If you want... more

The three Villas Arqueologicas in the Yucatan are located adjacent or very near to major archeological sites; Chichen Itza, Uxmal, and Coba. They were built by Club Med but are now connected to the Mexican government. We stayed in the Uxmal and Coba hotels. Both were fine. Uxmal was outstanding. A large quiet pool dominates a courtyard filled with tropical... more
