Absolutely wonderful! The location is beautiful with lots of birds, trees and plants. Very quiet and relaxing. Parking is provided. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated with Mexican arts and crafts. Rosa was very helpful with lots of information about the area, and took good care of us during our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. We... more

We had a very quiet and relaxing stay at this inn. Very simply and beautifully furnished. All the amenites (no tv, but we liked that!). We enjoyed the trail on the property and listening to birdsong. We saw many birds in the area. A great place to use as a base for experiencing the ruta puc ruins. Also, don't miss... more

Don't influenced by the location of this establishment in a small village, the flycatcher inn is an oasis for anyone visiting Uxmal and surrounds. Immaculate & comfortable rooms. The hosts are founts of local knowledge. Both circulate during breakfast (complimentary and substantial). Come equipped with your questions. There 2 local restaurants within walking distance provide quality local cuisine. more

The Flycatcher is located in a very quiet corner of the Yucatan, in the ultra-sleepy town of Santa Elena. But it's amazing how many things there are to see and do in the area. Uxmal, the delightful smaller ruins of the Puuc Route, old towns and churches. Definitely don't go for less than 2 days. (And definitely get a rental... more

This place is a gem! Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend here. The staff is helpful, friendly, and knows how to respect your vacation. The grounds are welcoming and clean; the rooms are spotless and comfortable; for my daughter and I, the location could not have been better. The other reviews hit on everything... more

We had an excellent stay at the FlyCatcher Inn. Our only regret is we booked for one night- in hindsight, it would have been worth changing our itinerary to stay for 2-3 nights to see more sites in the area. This provided an excellent, central location to see Uxmal, the Ruta Puc, and towns like Ticul, etc. We saw the... more

Sadly only had one night at this lovely B&B - booked as a result of reviews on this site and were not disappointed. Beautifully decorated, clean, extremely friendly staff, and quiet picturesque surroundings (they even have their own nature path behind the building), this place is ideal as a resting spot whilst traveling around the Yucatan. Definitely recommended. Worth changing... more

Just returned from a two-week trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, and our three-night stay at the Flycather was definitely one of the highlights! We stayed in the Ciruela room, one of their newest, which was very spacious with a comfortable bed, nice new bathroom, table with chairs, couch and a big hammock for lounging. The grounds are absolutely delightful, so... more

My son and I were unfortunate in that we were only able to spend a single night at the Flycatcher Inn. Christine (owner) is a wonderful host and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her during our visit about all kinds of things - she's extremely knowledgeable about the local area, as well as the Maya world past and present in... more

I spent one night at the Flycatcher Inn while visiting Uxmal and the other sites along the Ruta Puuc, and would highly recommend it to anyone who plans to be in the area. My room was large, bright, and charmingly furnished with lots of lovely touches and lots of windows, from which I could observe the surrounding trees with their... more
