We loved this hotel. The rooms are fairly basic, but have all the necessaries and the bathrooms are huge. You couldn't ask for a better location for visiting Uxmal. It's only about 2 minutes walk away. The pool was nice, although filled with bugs. I suspect it's really hard to keep a pool bug free in the middle of the... More

The Lodge at Uxmal, Yucatan, Mexico This is a beautiful small hotel in the middle of the jungle that sits right across the Mayan ruins at Uxmal. The rooms are spacious but there are no phones or alarm clocks in the rooms. If you want a wake-up call, you must go in person to the front desk and request one.... More

A bit more than an hour's easy drive south from Merida, we rolled up mid-day to the entrance to the temple complex at Uxmal planning to ask about local accommodations. Fortunately, we only had to look over our shoulders to spy the gem that is the Lodge at Uxmal right in the rear view mirror. The Lodge is a medium... More

We traveled with our sons 11 and 9 to the Yucatan to explore Maya ruins. The Lodge is located across the street from the Uxmal ruin making it easy to head over early before the intense afternoon heat. Getting a swim in before heading back out for Uxmal's incredible evening light show was easy and stress free because of the... More

First of all, I want to thank the restaurant manager, William, for all his help and attention. We were told they were sold out but he managed to get us a fabulous room for three nights. The place feels like being on a safari or archeological expedition with thatched roofs and beautiful verandas. The rooms was very nice with beautiful... More

The Lodge at Uxmal is nicely done. I assume it's been redone since some of the reviews on this site were written. It doesn't have a ton of creature comforts like LCD TVs w/100 cable channels, no phones in the rooms, no video games, etc. It's in the jungle folks, Don't come out here if that's the kind of stuff... Were upgraded to this hotel for four nights as part of first choice 'yucatan explorer tour' . We were very pleased as it was a beautiful setting, and empty! Its about 60 seonds from the Uxmal ruins which are stunning. The hotel buildings are all thatched roofed, rooms are quite nice and cool with huge baths. The food was some... More

We stayed here for 4 nights, the 2nd half of our Thomson's Yucatan Explorer tour. Where do i start? this place is beautiful. The hotel rooms are in buildings with 8 rooms in each building with thatched roofs like you would imagine African safari lodges. A long verandah runs along the front of the rooms for a sitting area. The... More

We stayed at the Lodge at Uxmal the night of June 23rd. We had booked at the Hacienda Uxmal, however, when we arrived, we were told that the hotel was closed and that we would be staying at the Lodge instead. We were not very happy about that, as no one from the hotel had contacted us ahead of time... More

The public bus dropped me off, in the pouring rain, so I ran to the first place I saw - this place. It's located directly across the street from the ruins park entrance. I dunno where these $200+ quotes are coming from, I'm seeing. I walked up, soaked bag toted behind me, at 6pm and was quoted $100/night. The priciest... More
