I stayed here on a group tour with Globus in March. The rooms were a bit confusing as they are named after people rather than numbers, but the grounds are lovely. Rooms are around a courtyard and pool. Lots of gardens, quiet, nice rectangular pool for swimming laps although I couldn't figure out how to remove the rope across the... more

On a roundtrip through Yucatan we stayed two nights in this hotel figuring the location was great to see the Uxmal ruins and some of the smaller ones in the surrounding. It turned out to be and Uxmal itself is a must see imo. You can actually climby on many pyramids (which you cannot at Chichen Itza) and there are... more

First off, I would like to say that Uxmal itself was fantastic, and personally, I liked the ruins more than Chichen. However, the Hacienda at Uxmal was not as nice as the sister property in Chichen. We were given a room on the bottom floor (in the basement, essentially) which was dark, damp, and musty. The bed was very uncomfortable,... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in December 2008. It is an older hotel, with large rooms done in a very traditional Mexican style. It is centered around a pretty courtyard, with a pool (another reviewer said there were two pools -- perhaps we somehow missed one, but did not see it). The standard room... more

We stayed here for 1 night during a trip with a rental car. Arrived late afternoon and visited the historical site of Uxmal the next morning. It is unbelievable, you're driving and there's nothing along the way, and all of a sudden there is this really nice and beautiful hacienda-like hotel, 2 pools, big rooms, nice restaurant and bar area,... more

Well, perhaps it is the best place to stay in Uxmal given the choices. It looks nice from the outside with a big thatched entryway. The location within walking distance from the Uxmal ruins entrace is convenient. We asked for a room with one bed and were walked down the corridors to a spartan room with two beds. After again... more

My two sisters and I, every year go to the Yucatan and spend 12 days...7 of those days we choose to stay at the Hacienda Uxmal. We have never had any problems there, and the staff has given us some great pointers over a wonderful breakfast....The food has always been great, fresh squeezed orange juice, pastries and bread, baked on... more

After two nights at the sister hotel in Chichen we expected something wonderful. We were disappointed. On the plus side it's location and proximity to the wonderful sights at Uxmal, Kabah, Labnah and Sayil is wonderful. The bed was also much more comfortable and the air conditioning a lot less noisy, didn't leak water on to the floor and the... more

We have stayed at Hacienda Uxmal twice (in 2003 and 2005) and have loved it both times. Courteous staff, very clean and beautifully decorated rooms, wonderful pool area and gardens, good restaurant with plenty of local specialties to sample. more

This hotel being part of the Mayaland resort family, was a let down. We stayed in one of the suites with a double jacuzzi, but they put us on the lower floor. Our room smelt like mold and mildew so bad it was practically unbearable! The hotel was full the 1st night so they could not move us. My husband... more
