We live in Merida in the Yucatan and were looking for a nice and quiet place to spend a few days at the beach. But we did not want to leave our dog home, so it had to be pet-friendly. A friend of us suggested the Maya Luna in Mahahual. We had never been that much south, but decided to... More

I stayed at Luna Maya in June with my boyfriend and our chihuahua. It is a great little hotel for dog owners, which is why we chose to stay there in the first place. The villas on the beach are very private, and complete with a roof top terrace. All the meals are home cooked, and the cervezas are always... More

My fiance and I went to Maya Luna last year and had an incredible adventure! Three reasons stand out: 1. Exquisite, unique, adventurous landscape; 2. The cabana, ammenities, services, local paradise; 3. Carolien and Jan, and the serendipitous simultaneous stay of Christina, Nick, Stephen and Camille. 1. Diverse surroundings offer daytrips to surrounding locations that are unmatched for snorkeling and... More

We were as a second option, we loved the place, we've been there 2 times in other hotels, in fact more expensive and they were good, but Hotel Maya Luna has a beautiful beach, and one of the best restaurants in Mahahual.

The Maya Luna was the nicest place we have been in our fabulous holiday in Mexico. My wife and i stood here for 5 nights and we realy didnt want to leave. We had lots of fun, made use of the free kayaks, snorkeled and swimmed a lot. The private bungalows with the roof terrace are lovely , you can... More

We have been staying a few days in Maya Luna and enjoyed our visit very much (2 adults, 2 kids). A perfect place to rest and enjoy the beach / sun. As Maya Luna only has a few bungalows, the athmosphere is personal and relaxed, with excellent individual service. Also nice food! For divers, there are is a nice dive-center... More

We stayed here for 3 days and it was very relaxing since you are far away from the touristy places . Seakayaking is also a good way to see the nature around there . The people in town are very friendly and prices a a lot lower than in the rest of Quintana Roo . Just avoid being there at... More

It had a great view, the food was good, the service given by the owner was good, if you are not used to mosquitoes, no internet or no tv is not the place for you. The town is beautiful and with the recomendation of the owner we ate one of the most delicious fish that i ever eaten!

We came back again and again to enjoy their great food. Although we did not stay at Mayaluna (did not know about it), we ate there once and then asked ourselves the next day where shall we have dinner? And both opted for Mayaluna and we came back again and again. Especially wonderful was the shrimp dish in a pineapple... More

This comfortable, relaxing hotel is in a beautiful unspoiled area of the costa maya....it is how I picture Cancun and Playa must have been 30+ years ago before all of the tourists descended. With pure white sandy beaches and roads, a reef for snorkeling and diving within easy swimming distance, this is a little slice of heaven. And for those... More
