Our group of nine adults, rented all four bungalows for a week at Maya Luna. I first must mention the gracious hospitality of owners Jan and Carolein along with the entire staff. Fall asleep to the gentle caressing of the ocean breeze and the soft sounds of the waves washing the sandy beach. Each morning we were pleasantly greeted with... More

I have been to Mexico many times in the past years but I have never found a gem like Maya Luna. If you're looking for a place with your own private beach great food, great drinks and a very polite and attentive staff then Maya Luna is your destination. A typical day on the beach at Maya Luna is a... More

I think Maya Luna, a small group of bungalows right on the beach in a secluded spot, is like the Mayan Riviera all was about 30 years ago before the big hotels came. Carolein was a personable owner.....always willing to chat and answer questions and help with problems not of her making! The bungalows are simple and authentic. I noticed... More

A friend and I stayed for 2 nights at Maya Luna in November, we were not so lucky with the weather, but the warm welcome Carolien and Yan gave us made us forget all about it! They were really REALLY helpful with everything even with getting us help with translating a document into Spanish to make a complaint to the... More

Thanks for your helpful review, happy to read that you felt at home at Maya Luna and liked the food in our restaurant. I was more than happy to help you translate your letter in spanish, its very sad that these things happen. When we approach christmas holidays, unfortunately policemen are looking for their extra money..Our lovely beachroad is another... More

We found the Hotel Maya Luna to be pleasant and nicely secluded from the cruise-ship trappings of Mahahual. It’s located about 4-5 km further south, down a dirt coastal road with minimal traffic. We also liked the restaurant (we recommend the banana hotcakes for breakfast, as well as the stuffed pineapple). But what makes the Hotel Maya Luna earn five... More

My boyfriend and I recently returned from our Carnival cruise where we had stopped in Costa Maya. During our journey there we rented a golf cart and decided to ride off the beaten path a bit. We were actually in search of Maya Chan but when we finally reached Maya Chan, we realized it had been closed down so we... More

We were happy to have you at Maya Luna beach! We are always open for couples or small groups of people who arrive at Costa Maya with a cruiseship and are looking for a quiet place to spend a few hours, away from the crowds. Thanks for the compliment on the guacamole. Hope to see you back soon at Maya... More

We highly recommand this place, it is beautifull, the cabins are on the white beach and the sea is only few steps away. A place where you stay to relax. It is also possible to kayak and to go snorkling at the reef. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Food is great! We had a lovely stay over here.

We went in the low season and arrived late at night. The cabin was very cool - we sat on the rooftop deck for most of the night. The rooftop deck was by far my favorite part.. The beach is literally steps from your front door, it was amazing. They have several hammocks and chairs, and kayaks. The room was... More
