I booked this hotel in order to snorkel at the once-beautiful patch reefs of Xaac Bay. This resort, built 4 years ago, chose to bring in quartz sand to replace the natural calcium carbonate sand beach. The polyps that construct the coral heads cannot live in this environment as the sand swept out by waves & tides smother them. All... more

We have been to over 30 resorts betwen the 2 of us and by far this is the worst we have ever encountered. This is the equivelant of a Super 8, an Old Country Buffet, and the service is worse than an Ed Dibevicks theme diner. The food was horrible and at one point we saw a cat eating out... more

We arrived to Champagne, on Oct 29th for 13 nights, we arranged for private transport from airport, 120US for to and from. About 1 hr. each way. We were shown to our room within 10 mins. That musty smell people noted was there and and never really went away. Other than that room was perfect. Had no main issues with... more

Great property, lovely rooms, clean, and neat. Food was really decent, tend to get a little sick of buffet lunch, and breakfast after 5-6 days, but was definitely duable. Most staff go out of their way to try and help. Entertainment, seemed to be a step above other Mexico all inclusives, costumes, sets, and not just the traditional mexican culture... more

We have never done an "All Inclusive" holiday before, so were not sure what to expect. We were very pleased with the standard and variety of the menu that was available, you would have to be very picky to not find something you fancied to eat. I had mixed feelings however about the Theamatic resturaunts, the Steakhouse and Brazilian were... more

I just came back from the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya resort. There were 8 ladies in total. I am a travel agent and I booked 7 seats from Vancouver and we had another lady join us from NY. Now we were trying to find an all inclusive in the Mayan Riviera and we wanted a resort close to Akumal/Tulum area.... more

The resort is absolutely wonderful! The staff goes above and beyond to ensure you're always feeling pampered, welcome and satisifed. I've read many reviews about the resort being very large, but we actually felt it was on the small side and definitely preferred it that way. The resort was nowhere close to capacity, so there was plenty of room at... more

We started off with the email room request...got nothing except for third floor in building 13. We asked the Concierge for a building switch and got bumped up to second floor in the best building 19 (ocean view) for $260US, so if you want Ocean View don't waste money and pay through travel agent, take the chance and do it... more

We are a family of 5 with two teenagers and one 10 year old. I must say this resort had plently for all of us. Getting there. We travelled to Cancun on Sunday Nov. 8 - the day Hurricane Ida was passing through and our flight was delayed but by the time we arrived late afternoon - it was all... more
