We, a family of four, just returned from a wonder full two week vacation at the Bahia Principe Coba and are stunned how people find anything to complain about. Almost everything exceeded our expectations. The service was amazing as were the rooms, pools, public areas and restaurants. Contrary to what we read in other reviews before coming to the hotel,... My husband and I stayed in this resort for our hooneymoon. It was wonderful! We stayed in Coba but used facilities in the other 2 hotels also. The little busses are always frequent to take you around the complex. The beach was beautiful and there was always sunbeds available. However, be warned!! Sunbeds around the pool! These are few and... More

Having thoroughly enjoyed a romantic holiday to the same area late last year we decided that the Riviera Maya would also be a great place to take the kids for a family holiday. Having done a bit of searching and taking family (and Trip!) advice settled on the GBP, booking through Direct Holidays we could only request the Coba part,... More

We booked the Akumel resort for our Easter vacation, however at checkin we were provided with a free upgrade and specials (one more alacarte dinner) , basically it was the Akumel signature club. Our room was in Coba. The little shuttlebuses are very convenient, but u can still walk everywhere if u wish. The buffets were all very good. The... More

Just returned from Mexico and I am still scratching my bites. This resort should have an health warning attached to it. The resort is made up of three 5 star hotels, unfortunately they have been built on what can only be described as a swamp infested with mosquitoes. I had twenty five bites after being there for two hours. ROOMS:... More

We just returned from the Gran Bahia Coba and loved every second of our 6 night 7 day stay. Let me first say, I must have checked around every all inclusive hotel in Mexico between Expedia and then comparing the pictures to the ones taken on this website by the travelers. I wanted to be sure my vacation was going... More

I think everything already has been said about this hotel. I personaly loved it! I only would like to say that if you are into any excursions buy them in Playa del Carmen they are probably 50% cheaper to the one offered in the hotel by your reps. I remember paying $26 for Chichen Itza tour, immagine that! I would... More

Just returned from Gran Bahia Principe Coba in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico and it was fabulous! The service and accommodations are absolutely excellent - you could not get any better. The staff are extremely courteous, friendly, and prompt. All of the restaurants in Coba are excellent, my favourite is the Mikado (Japanese) where they cook the food in front of... More
