This was my family's fourth time on the Mayan Riviera, and this is the first place we've stayed that I've really felt I'd want to go back to. The property is about 24 apartments on three levels (one level being sous-sol). The apartments on the upper two levels are spacious and bright with beautiful views of the garden and ocean.... More

Stayed in Las Villas Akumal from 3/4/15 - 3/11/15 and it was excellent! Always stayed in an all-inclusive and decided to change it up. Booked a 1 bedroom villa ocean view but they only have 2 bedroom ocean views, they usually lock the 2nd bedroom so you cannot use it. Location was unreal…ocean view, pool and ocean right outside our... More

Had a two night stay in ground floor corner villa 001. The apartment was really well stocked, comfortable and super clean. Pool and garden areas are lovely with steps to the beach. Erasmo was very friendly & helpful serving delicious drinks by the pool and in the restaurant. Breakfast choices are sparse & don't match up to the price of... More

Villas Akumal is a lovely beach front hotel with apartment style accommodation. We were only staying for 2 nights, but our spacious apartment had everything we needed. Listening to the sea whilst drifting off to sleep was just lovely. The location is about a 25 minute drive or taxi ride from Tulum where the Mayan ruins are and a large... More

Las Villas Akumal is a great place to escape the hustle of Playa or Cancun. Akumal is a short mile away. You can snorkel right off the beach. The views are wonderful. We have stayed there 3 times. They have snorkeling gear that you can borrow. The turtle and sting rays are common sightings in the first bay as you... More

My wife and I stayed in a "A" room (junior garden view suite) at the Las Villas Akumal for nearly 2 weeks in December. The room was a lock off of a 2 bedroom unit. The locked door separating the units was certainly not sound proof. We could hear EVERYTHING going on in the unit it was attached to. We... More

Great 2-BR villa accommodation at ground level in this well-kept, quiet property......very spacious, comfortable and well-maintained. Inclusive breakfast is very basic and prone to be picked over if you don't arrive before 9 am.....can order from a menu for extra $$. Recommend bring water shoes to walk/swim, as shoreline is rocky in parts and shoals/coral further out. Fifteen minute walk... More

This was our second stay here. The apartments are spacious and on top of the beach with only a small lawn and pool in between. You are bothered by no one here, extremely peaceful. Bring a tea towel, matches were provided along with detergent. This year the restaurant on the roof was open. Continental breakfast was included and this was... More

I just want to come back. The rooms are spacious and clean. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. My family and I got an oceanfront and will next time. Its worth it. The pool has a small kiddy pool my 1 yr old loved. Overall service and view were amazing. Will come back.

Only able to stay for 1 night so not able to experience the better things in this hotel but for 1 night I was very comfortable. My room, 002, was very spacious and light. Large comfortable bed and lovely large bathroom. The sitting/dining area is at the front as is the small kitchenette. A large drum of drinking water is... More
