Luna Azul is our second Riviera Maya stay. Last year we stayed a few doors down at Villas Flamingo. We would have preferred to stay there again but it was booked; the villas are an entire townhouse whereas Luna Azul is a condo apartment. That being said, during our stays we've visited a couple of other condo apartments and found... More

Thank you for taking the time to review Luna Azul. We are pleased to read your detailed comments about your vacation. Luna Azul has a very good property management team that takes excellent care of the condominiums. We stayed in Luna Azul for 5 weeks. The location is right in the middle of Half Moon Bay. Very quiet location. We were in Unit #7 which had a fantastic view with the sun beaming into the master bedroom in the morning. The until was very clean, reasonably equipped and excellent daily maid service. There are 65 steps up... More

We stayed in Luna Azul # 8 for 4 nights. It was very clean and well outfitted.Towels and such could use updating. The location, beachfront on Half Moon Bay, is great. There's a convenience store across the street for basics and it's a quick walk to La Buena Vida. You can't beat amazing sunrises viewed from the master bedroom. Condo... More

Our family of 2 adults, 2 teens enjoyed our stay at Luna Azul. The condo is right in the middle of Half Moon Bay, north of the town of Akumal. We have stayed on this bay many times before and we were glad to see that not much has changed there--it is still a beautiful, peaceful place! Luna Azul condo... More

We stayed for a week in December 2013 (the week before Christmas) at the La Bodega Sur condo at the Luna Azul condos. The condo is on the lowest level (walk-out basement) of the condo building with a small private porch off the entry walk, which is perfect for drying towels, etc. The condo is a small studio with fully... This was an older building but very well kept. The room was small and well appointed with fridge and other amenities. Very close to water on the beach so it was salty but with the door closed the AC worked well and kept the air dry at night. There was a hammock which was a nice touch. Recommended for no... More

We stayed in this Casita for three weeks in January - February 2014 and loved it so much we have booked for six weeks next year! Yes, it is small compared to the condos, it faces the road and only has a 2 burner hot plate in an otherwise lovely kitchen, but it is a short walk to the ocean... More

This is a good choice if you want to stay in Half Moon Bay. Our second floor unit, No. 4, was great, with comfy beds and very nice decor. There were a few ants, but I think that's to be expected in the tropics. We also rented Casita Norte on the ground floor for a few nights as an overflow... More

We stayed in #7 on the 4th floor. Amazing view and a great breeze. We visited in August and only turned on the AC for a couple of hours just before bed. The AC was quite loud, but it cooled the whole place down and dried it out for a good nights sleep. Beds were comfy, maid came every day... More

The condos are clean and the maids are excellent. Its quite a walk to the village. We alway stay in the village but this year we changed condos. If your holiday is about swimming, snorkeling and lazing on the beach then do not come here !!!!! On first glance it looks wonderful until you try to enter the water. It... More
