Sorry it has taken me so long to write this review. We flew into Cancun airport and rented a car for the week. I have stayed in Akumal many times and when I am looking for a condo on Half Moon bay ( and the Penthouse at the Villas on the Reef is booked) I choose Luna Azul. The condos, especially the ones on the second floor, are outstandingly maintained. During the shoulder and off season, they are very cheap as well -... more

We stayed at the Luna Azul for about a week in January. The location is excellent. The beach is lovely and the sea turtles were visible from our balcony. Spent a few days in Akumal at the Luna Azul, 2nd floor 2BR cond. We loved it, and as my youngest son stated, the beach in front "looked just like a Corona commercial".
