Just returned from 2 weeks at GBP Tulum. Both Akumal and Tulum fuly opened, Coba was just starting to open again the 2 days before we left. The size of the place is just breathtaking. They have these wee golf carts joined together to take you about. They pass by about every 10 mins, so it is no problem getting... more

We returned tonight from a week at the Bahia Principe Tulum. I was not expecting to enjoy it, but was VERY impressed with our stay. THE GOOD: There were 9 of us, ages 4, 6,18, 31, 33, 36, 37, 58, and 58. When we first arrived, they had booked two of our rooms next to each other, and the third... more

We've spent the week of June 26th-July 3rd at Bahia Principe Tulum. This was our fourth trip there in four years. Needless to say, we love it there! It is a little quiet on the Riviera Maya because of the swine flu panic. There is no trace of the flu in the Yucatan Peninsula and there haven't been any cases... more

We have just returned from our honeymoon at the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum and are slightly disappointed about our holiday. Firstly i'll explain that Gran Bahia have 3 hotels within the complex. The Akumal, the Coba and the Tulum. Guests have full use of all 3 hotels and shuttle buses run 24 hours a day to get you about the... more

First of all, please let me say, there are no worries of swine flu or drug/crime related problems in this area. This by far was the safest place to be. Please go and have fun and do not worry about anything...you will have the best time of your lives. It is so sad that their tourism is way down from... more

After having visited congested Cancun twice, was seeking Riviera Maya because had heard it was remote but had just as amazing water views as Cancun. This all-inclusive resort was very close to Tulum ruins, but was a good 75-minute drive from Cancun Airport. Gran Bahia Principe Tulum was a beautiful place however spent most of beach/pool time at sister resort... more

My wife and I and two other friends stayed all-inclusive at the Tulum section of the Gran Bahia Principe for the last two weeks in April. I had done some research on the forums before booking and the feedback was generally good. Well, we certainly weren’t disappointed. The resort was spotlessly clean and the daily room cleaning ensured that the... more

We stayed from May 17 - 24. ARRIVAL: Booked through Apple, USA 3000 flight direct from Chicago to Cancun. Flight going there was painless. About a 2 hour trip from aiport to resort on big bus, dropped off others at resorts on the way. No beverages on bus, Apple rep on bus was hard to understand, complicated by a very... more

Despite the Swine Flu scare... the trip was great. Rooms are cool and clean, the hospitality is great, and the fun attitude staff have always put you in a great mood. Those bad reviews need to be deleted... for the price and quality, it's fabulous. Definitely planning to come back more
