We found Hotel Que Onda on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. We arrived very late at night from the airport exhausted, and were immediately greeted by a such a friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere that all our travel stress immediately fell away! The outdoor restaurant and pool area are so inviting, with lush greenery and hammocks surrounding the pool,... more

We spent 5 days there and found the owner to be delighful, the staff courteous, the rates very low, the food excellent, and the rooms quiet and clean. The garden is lovely, the pool was great place to refresh and let our son play, and it was family friendly. Like a small village. Close to Yal Ku (with reduced rates... more

This is such a gorgeous place and well priced in comparrison with other accomodation in the area.($75USD per night) It is not on the beach but its right next to the Cenote, which is fantastic for snorkeling, and not being on the beach is also its blessing as its quiet. Its a 15min walk from the main turtle beach and... more

We have been trying to book a room/suite with this hotel for OVER a month. So to be absolutely clear WE HAVE NEVER STAYED HERE. THIS IS OUR EXPERIENCE IN TRYING TO MAKE A SIMPLE RESERVATION. I am a therapist and my husband a computer engineer. We travel the world and feel comfortable staying almost anywhere, but we prefer small... more

We dropped in during the low season on a day the restaurant was closed... so it took patience to get assistance and figure the place out. We ended up with a comfortable upstairs room with a nice deck at a reasonable price and enjoyed our one night stay. The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood a very short walk... more

This hotel has great art on the walls and great style all around. We really enjoyed staying there. The lagoon is just down the street where you can go snorkeling. The hotel loans you the gear which is very convenient and rare. We ended up walking to this hotel from the main highway because we didn't realize how far down... more

Having vacationed in Akumal for over 8 years, our first stay at Posada Que Onda was for 2 nights in March 2006. We chose Que Onda primarily because of the excellent proximity to Yalku lagoon and the (great) rates! 1. The setting is lovely and relaxing. It was so convenient to walk back to our room from the lagoon for... more

Que onda was a great deal. We seemed to have the entire place to ourselves, in fact, we never even laid eyes on the owners. The pool is nice, the little gardens were peaceful, we hung out there almost all afternoon one day. A very short walk to the lagoon, with a private entrance and discounted fee to get in.... more

We stayed at the Posada Que Onda in January and really enjoyed it. The hostess was charming, the suite was enormous and eclectic. There is a large balcony and a rooftop patio. My kids loved it! The stairs to the loft are a little perilous, but it sure beats cookie cutter lodging. Also, the beds were soft and comfy- unlike... more
