We chose Hotel Caribe to get away from the big resorts and were not disappointed. It is a modest place for sure, but we loved our two week stay. It's best to book a room in the 3-story hotel: the bungalos are a bit shabby. The nice pool was rarely used during our stay. The beach was wonderful, but the... More

We have been to Akumal twice before staying here. Wonderful staff, very clean. Bottled water in the room. Continental breakfast included at the Lol Ha was great. Nice pool. We would go back again. We stayed in the multilevel building. Perfect king bed, kitchenette, microwave and small fridge. Perfect for us. We went to town and made our own margaritas.... More

We stayed for three nights at this beach complex. You can walk from your room to the beach and swim with turtles. Our cabin had all the mod cons except a TV. The "American breakfast" is adequate but does not offer much choice, The on site restaurants close at 10 pm. Hint_ not all cabins are the same, the best... More

Wonderful hotel! We had a nice room with AC and private balcony which had both a pool and ocean view. 2 breakfasts were included in room rate ( we booked on Expedia) which we used towards the purchase of full breakfasts. WiFi in rooms and included in price. Walk right off of the beach into the water and swim with... More

Through Expedia, we paid $1,199.00 per person for 7 nights, 8 days lodging at Akumal Caribe with airline tix. The stay comes with free continental breakfast only. I thought this was a great deal. Ok, picture paradise, are you seeing it? Palm trees? White sand? Exotic (some type of grackle) birds chirping all day? Clear, I mean clear turquoise ocean?... More

This is a complex of hotels rooms, bungalows, and condo units. There are many pluses to staying in one of their rentals and a few drawbacks. It may be a great location for you, just make sure you rent the right space for your group. Great- The staff speak English and are very helpful. It is a beautiful location on... More

We stayed there in mid March as a family of four. One room with two beds was fine. The hotel is right on the beach, bit this isn't a Disneyland resort, it's refreshingly "normal" and you get to know people and places very quickly. You never feel like just another room number. The dive shop is less than a minute... More

I have lost count the number of times our family has stayed here. Recently, I came alone for some beach time at the hotel. Carmenita was my housekeeper, and she took very good care of me. One morning after she had cleaned, I found a button to my shirt lying on the kitchenette counter in a conspicuous place. Instead of... More

We really enjoyed our stay and the hospitality of the staff was wonderful. We stayed in a double bungalow which did not have an ocean view. There was a small fridge in our room and I asked them to bring us a microwave which they did the following day. I can't give more than 3 stars because the property is... More
