We are owners at La Tranquila and stayed during April 17-24, 2015. This is our second visit in the 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, full kitchen, deck with dipping pool, 2 lounge chairs, and a casual table with 4 chairs. Our room had a view of the property, pools and the ocean. It is a stunning view. It is peaceful and... More

Absolutely beautiful rooms, property is breathtaking, an ideal romantic getaway, service is superior, not for families or teenagers, 45 completed rooms, two buildings under construction, only one limited restaurant by the pool next to the sales area for breakfast and lunch, no swim up bar which is still under construction, one restaurant inside for dinner, there is nothing around the... This is probably one of the most magnificent hotels I've ever seen! The pools alone are breathtakingly beautiful! Don't even think about the Four Seadons when this is available... It is connected to a Greg Nornan course and discounts are offered to hotel guest. The staff are extremely courteous and go out of their way to be helpful...a must for... More

My husband surprised me for our 28th wedding anniversary at La Tranquila and did he ever "score"! Very clean, top service, great food (can't imagine what the complaints in other reviews are about), perfect romantic get away, serious R&R well worth every penny! This is the place to come to be pampered and to unplug. Don't be surprised if you... More

This place is super romantic. Expensive but worth the money. It's a big place with a small number of suites. Gold next door. Beautiful beach but not to get in. Great service. High class type of service. The food in my experience was horrible and I mean every letter of that word. We went to a weeding and the whole... More

I would give 0 stars if I could. Extremely poor experience with La Tranquila Reservations. Below is a snippet of what happened: 1. We were charged an amount FAR past what was authorized 2. Delayed email response 3. Unreliable phone system for US 4. Delayed refund 5. Due to the delayed refund, transaction rate changed so that our refund was... More

Our extended family of 15- including 9 children ranging in age from 2 to 17- thoroughly enjoyed our week at La Tranquila. We felt it to be almost our private retreat, for some reason there were VERY few other guests there. Though there were no specific facilities for children, the beautiful, uninhabited (except for us) beach and the many, many... More

My family and I traveled here over spring break and had a terrible experience. This was largely due to the timeshare rep, Blake, harassing us about paying for a timeshare. When we declined Blake went on an unprofessional tirade in the lobby with others present. It was clear to us that he was desperate for the commission, and/or the hotel... More

Wonderful stay here at La Tranquila. All reviews fit this to a "T". My one major complaint: despite being meticulous about communications with Ricardo prior to coming, and a deposit (approximately 75% of bill) in USD, the following occurred: The deposit was charged an extra 2.5% unbeknownst to me prior to arrival. Ricardo called this a bank fee. When it... More

We stayed for 8 days at La Tranquila (2 adults, 3 teenagers and a 9 yr old). Booked a 3 bedroom suite, which was perfect. It's basically an apartment with kitchen, family room, dining room, a beautiful terrace and laundry station. Hotel restaurants have reasonable prices and food is very good. Personally, I enjoyed the morning breakfasts and the variety... More
