I stayed at this hotel in 2006. I wrote a five star review. I just booked again for my upcoming visit in May 2015. The pool before the enclosure was incredible!! Why did they do this to such a beautiful outdoor pool. You could relax by the pool and hear the beautiful birds, smell the smells of the old damp... More

I booked this hotel because it was apparently one of the best ones in Tlaxcala. I would assume that a hotel with a pool and at this cost has at least some sort of basic gym, so I was surprised to find it doesn't. The pool itself didn't help my workout at all as the water was freezing. When asking... More

The hotel is located facing the Zocalo with valet parking. The check-in was friendly and efficient. The rooms are pretty basic with old TVs and locks that allow other room keys to open your door - not good! The beds are very firm but the pillows are not comfortable. There is a large pool and the hotel has a bar... More

We visited this hotel in the past (it's been maybe 15 years now?)maybe three times when it was ran by Hotel MED and it was a dream...our last stay was very different. Now it is run by Hotel Mision and we did notice a difference in everything. This is a pristine building on a prisitine location that is being neglected... More

The Hotel Posada San Francisco is located on the south side of the zócalo. Upon entering the huge lobby with high ceilings and a stained glass ceiling you can feel the charm of Mexico. At the end of the lobby there is a waterfall. There is a breakfast buffet or one can order off the menu. I had breakfast and... More

I spent two lovely days in Tlaxcala, Mexico, and was fortunate enough to stay in this very beautiful hotel located right on the central Plaza. Everything about the hotel is close to perfect by my standards. The room was comfortable, and quiet. It opened on a beautiful interior, colonial-style courtyard, so I was not bothered by street noise. This is... More

I stayed her with a group of friends for 2 nights and we were generally pleased with the hotel: the location is wonderful, the food (buffet) was surprisingly good, but the coffee -and I can't underscore this enough -- is horrible. The wait staff tends to be surly and inattentive but the people at the front desk were most helpful.... More

We spent three nights here, and enjoyed being in the center of this lovely town. The weather was quite cold, and thankfully the rooms have wall heaters. It was necessary to wear sweaters and jackets while eating in the restaurant however. One morning we ordered coffee from room service, and it was quite enjoyable in our warm hotel room. While... Expedia screwed up the reservation (once again) but there was plenty of room, and I was put in the very back room (as in ...the bus). The lobby is lovely and the people there (bell-man and desk men and women) were great. Then as you work your way back: an over-priced restaurant with surly waiters then the pool. The rooms... More
