I visited Patzcuaro for three weeks during September, 2014. I stayed in Posada Mandala the entire time I was there. My stay was absolutely amazing. The owner of the hotel, Enrique, was very informative and had many stories to tell about his interesting life. The hotel was cheap compared to other hotels in the area. It had all the amenities,... We stumbled on this place after first parking near one of the squares. We checked out the two rooms upstairs overlooking the small garden courtyard. Initially we thought we might check out several places but almost immediately we decided this was the place for us. We met the owner Enrique who spoke decent English and found him absolutely charming. This... More

Not only is this little hotel perfectly situated the rooms are oldworld charming and the price is right. The rooms are cozy with antiques. The place is full of charm and culture not to mention the pizza is outstanding. The dueños is a novelist with a great smile. I could stay here for a very long time.

I stayed here with a friend for two nights and we loved the place with its old wooden floors, patio filled with begonias, lovely view, and kind owner. If you want to be perfectly located but away from the din of the plaza, this is a great economical choice. I give it my highest marks for an economical place to... More

The owner is a nice guy. His hostel is cute and lies close to the plaza grande. I slept in a room at the groundfloor. A pretty room but without window so I heard everything that happened on the nice patio. A good option for low budget travellers!

This is a really nice and relaxing place in a quite surrounding. The place is clean and the owner and staff are friendly. There is a beautiful patio and a little terrace for the rooms on the first floor. We staied in a smaller double with shared bathroom which was fine. There were warm blankets (which we needed!) and the... More

We loved this hotel so much! The five of us booked out the entire top floor (thank you for those room tips, Trip Advisor members!) and were so glad that we did. It meant that we had that wonderful balcony with that fantastic view all to ourselves; a great spot for afternoon drinks! The rooms were large, clean and comfortable,... More
