I went there with my sister and stayed in room #7. It has 3 double beds, a fireplace and a nice bathroom. The rooms are decorated with traditional wood furniture. You can use the fireplace (if you can light it!) and you are free to use the kitchen as well. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It is located... More

For us, a perfect quiet location on the hill near the Basillica that allows us to walk to a number of the better restaurants and shopping areas. While we will admit that there are hotels with more amenities and features. this has always been a favorite and we just cannot bail out on these wonderful owners and staff members! They... More

Beautiful cozy hotel, with very big rooms decorated in traditional Mexican style. Rooms are equipped with a fireplace, which might come in handy as it does get very cold at night. Staff was friendly. The hotel has a pretty garden that is a little bit neglected.

I loved my room tithe Meson San Antonio. There was a small seating area with fireplace upon entry, and a raised sleeping area beyond. Weather was warm, however. The hotel has character for days, and a large open area. My guide book said there were .ni good restaurants in Patscuaro. And sadly that was my experience. :-(

I stayed at Hotel Meson De San Antonio in May 2014. I arrived about 9pm at night and so was glad that I had the phone number of the hotel and a cell phone along with me to let the proprietor know that I had arrived to get the front door unlocked and opened. Someone quickly came to the hotel... More

Staying here we felt like we were in a Mexico from long ago; but with all of the modern conveniences. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. it was a real plus to have access to a full kitchen and a lovely common area. The location couldn't be better, just a few blocks from the zocalo. With the exception of the... More

We spent a week in Patzcuaro with our two teen daughters in July 2013. We drove from San Miguel de Allende to Patzcuaro and the only problems we encountered in Mexico was our fuel pump going out. We live in Texas so driving to Mexico is very doable for us. I would strongly suggest that you don't drive at night.... More

So, we ignored the warnings and went to Patzcuaro, which we loved. Felt not an ounce of danger there. Saw no military etc. San Antonio is staffed by a gracious family. Off street parking was 30 pesos a day. Our room had a fireplace in which fresh logs were placed daily. Fresh coffee and rolls every day in the main... More

We stayed here on a wonderful vacation over holy week. What a find! The hotel is small, with the room arranged around a beautiful courtyard full of flowers. The rooms were large with simple yet lovely decorations (fresh flowers, for example). Though we didn't use the fireplace, it added a nice touch. The room was a little chilly in the... More

This might be my favorite hotel in Mexico. It is not fancy, but it's very attrative and clean, great service. It's very authentic and simpy lovely. The owners are very friendly. Breakfast can be rolls and coffee but sometimes they cook a big Mexican breakfast.
