My family and I stayed in this hotel on our way to Mexico state, we liked it so much we stayed there on the way back as well. The rooms are very spacious and clean. the grounds are nicely kept and the staff is very friendly and corteous. They also have a restaurant that offers great mexican food. More

This hotel is located in a good stopping spot on our route from the border to San Miguel de Allende. The owners take care to keep the grounds very nicely maintained and the rooms are clean and large. The place is not fancy but is just fine for our purposes. I love stretching my legs after being cooped up in... More

I made my very first ever road trip through Malehuala on my relocation journey to Mahahual, Mexico. I had no idea what to expect along the way. When I realized Matehaula was the best town to stop for the day I had no idea where to stay for the night. I had not arrived in my expected destination of San... More

Hi, we are presently at the Las Palmas Midway Inn between USA and Chapala. We were looking for a place that takes dogs as last year we had to drive 11 hours to Tonala to find a hotel to take our dog. Anyway, we read some reviews about this hotel and we were concerned. But this hotel is fine. The... More

We have been driving back and forth from Cuernavaca, Mexico, to San Antonio, Texas, every summer for the past four or five years, and always stay at Las Palmas. Love it. The construction of the place is a time-travel backwards to probably the 1950's. Large grounds, playground, putt-putt golf, which our daughter enjoys immensely, and a delicious restaurant to boot.... This hotel ia an oasis on the way from Texas to the Lake Chapala region of Mexico. We've stayed at Las Palmas the last two years as we traveled to our winter residence in Ajijic.. The hotel is clean, secure, comfortable, and has a vey good restaurant. They have a no pet policy but it's a don't ask don't tell... More

Stayed 1 night on the way from Dallas to Toluca. No reservation, just a walk-in. Staff very friendly and the restaurant was very good. About 800 pesos. All-in-all a good deal, safe and clean rooms. Would stay again next time I go to Toluca!! More

I was delayed in my return to Mexico from the U.S. and ended up alone on Christmas Eve at Las Palmas, half an hour after their restaurant had closed. I was tired and hungry and...well, at least there was room at the inn! The front desk staff called and found a restaurant that would deliver, and within the hour I... More

We made reservations with this motel by phone based on the previous reviews. What a surprise. My family travel ed extensively in the 50s when motels were at their peak. This was like a trip back in time right down to the bicycle paths and the runner who led us to our cabana. The cabana was decorated in a sophisticated... More

I've stayed at Las Palmas going back to the 1970s and have never had a problem other than (once) having a shortage of hot water. The price was reasonable, there was safe parking, and the restaurant was clean and safe. It appears the hotel has changed policies: there is a surcharge for a second person (100 pesos) and the currency... More
