I visited the Hacienda Soltepec out of mere curiosity. I had read about it before and I wanted to see an old hacienda converted in a "modern" hotel. the place really transports you to another time, the facade is really well preserved and it has some kind of quaint look because of the small towers that outflank the main entrance.... I went to "Hacienda Soltepec" 2 months ago (March, 2013) and it was very nice. I stayed in "habitación jardín" (garden room), which has a big, soft, comfortable bed, and a bathtube. With tv and cable, of course. The decoration is simple, but fresh. Service is very good, because ther are NOT expecting for tips at every moment. They help... More

If you want to stay in a hacienda and not spend much money, here you go. it's ok and it's not ugly but so many design decisions are weird or wrong and there's just a lack of elegance about the place. The staff is kind and eager to help and you can even buy a lot on the property if... More

I stayed at the hacienda for three days this week with family. The hotel was rustic in places but generally in good condition. There's some construction going on as they make a new wing. We enjoyed massages, horse-back riding and the indoor heated pool. The food at the restaurant was very good and inexpensive. The coffee was excellent! There's not... More

I recently took a small group here and unfortunately we only stayed one night. Next time we will stay longer. We found the rooms lovely, it was cold and rainy when we arrived but there were heaters in all of the rooms and we had a very helpful young man help us to get them started. The beds were comfortable,... More

If you like to spend a few days disconnected and pampered, this is a place to stay, relax and enjoy your family. A lot of attractions nearby known as “Fiestas de pueblo” including bullfights. Spend time visiting “Haciendas” and riding a horse. Great food

Overall, our stay in the hacienda was very pleasant. With a bit of maintenance to the common areas and the rooms, this hacienda could be a much nicer place. Nevertheless, it has a good price/value relationship. The hacienda is a good starting point for ballon rides that are offered in the area. The hacienda has a nice courtyard and building.... More
