Nice hotel and the food in the restaurant is very good. People are friendly and the sky was so dark I could take pictures of the Milky Way. They greeted us with a cold beer. Room had no TV but who cares?

My wife and I first stayed at the Old Mill in June 1970 (yes, 1970). It was run by Dorothy and Alfonso Vela then. Wonderful couple. Great place. Serene atmosphere. It has changed hands multiple times since then and doubled in size, but it is still a wonderful, relaxing, family friendly, destination especially if you love to fish and explore... More

My husband and I just returned from a 2 nite stay at the Old Mill Hotel in San Quintin, Baja California, Mexico. We have stayed on other hotels in San Quintin and this is by far the nicest. It is right on the waterfront. Javier was there to greet us and offrered us a couple of beers while we checked... More

We pulled in here after a 10 drive from southern Baja hoping they had a room for us. Very sweet young lady at the desk speaks perfect English, and had a room for 3 for $16.00 dollars a person- yes! We got cold beer while we checked in, and the room was large and clean, with purified water to brush... More

I was afraid to travel to Mexico and resisted going with my husband for so many years. What a waste of time. The Old Mill was a great experience. Javier is a very personable manager. He gave us cold beers when we arrived and even brought over a tuna appetizer later on. Had great suggested places to see. The hotel... More

A definate must stay for your baja adventure. Javier was a perfect host, he even gave us cold pacificos when we arrived after a days ride. The restaurant and bar are great too. You can ride for many day trips around the area so stay at least two nights if not 3. They give you a big bottle of purified... More

We travelled by motorcycle from Alberta down to Baja. Our first few nights we decided to splurge and stay in a resort in Ensenada. It was nice - but definitely not the 'Baja vibe' I was looking for. Then we decided to ride a little further South and found the Old Mill via Trip Advisor. I emailed the hotel directly... More

My husband and I stayed at Old Mill recently after being disappointed with Jardines. We hadn't wanted to drive the long bumpy road to get there but were glad that we did. We loved the hotel, location on a beautiful bay, and the fact that it is truly pet friendly. And Javier was friendly and helpful and even gave my... More

San Quintin seemed a better stopover than Ensenada en route to Guerrero Negro or in the reverse except that it has few hotels but if you can find it, the Old Mill (despite with the desk clerk at Jardines said) is a neat place to stay. They definitely need signage...what exists is old and unreadable in the evening but once... More
