First of all, the breathtaking views of the entire valley of Guadalupe are unforgettable! The scenery from loft #20 is gorgeous. After having read some of the negative reviews, I expected less than what I experienced. The rooms aren't that big, but just the right size for a night of pure bliss. It was cold outside but nice and warm... More

First let me say, the people here are gracious, proud, and extremely accommodating. The location is stunning, and the concept of this hotel is impressive to say the least. Beautifully done, however just missing the mark in a few ways. We had not exactly the best experience there however the response from the management and all the staff was so... More

I traveled to Valle de Guadalupe with friends for Wine tasting on New Years weekend. We stopped at encuentro guadalupe after seeing it from the road. We had drinks in the Bar and were given a ride up to the swimming pool for a quick tour. I thought this would be a great place for a surprise Valentines get away... More

My main beef here is what you get for the cost. I like the anti-resort vibe, but the price is not so anti-resort. There is a laissez-faire culture on the part of the management such that there is not much service, and there are few staff persons. That said, the guy at reception was helpful with info and calling around... More

Who knew that there is no catering or beverage provision both on New Year's Day and on Jan 2 as well? It would have at very least been courteous for the hotel to have notified us in advance of our arrival. The location is remote from any nearby facilities, so we were left with no alternative but to graze on... More

Stayed here over NYE. Loved how unique the place was. The individual pods were amazing. Very roomy and modern. Beds were uber comfy and you could plug your phone in and listen to music. Only wish there were rugs because the floor was really cold and softer robes. Pool/hot tub area was beautiful. Only downside was that the pool wasn't... More

Excellent place, incredible views, very helpful service. All different and special things you experience are part of the hotel "concept" Try a massage it is a real pleasure. Don't get stressed when you get lost in the dark trying to find your room, someone in the hotel will rush and help you find your way. I was a very nice... More

We stayed at the hotel for four days over the Christmas Holiday. It was cold and windy but the lofts were cozy and warm. The rooms have robes, heat/AC, the nicest King size bed and incredible surround-sound stereo system. There are fire pits and individual patios that make each room it's own haven to hang out and relax in privacy.... More

This is a nice hotel, but I would not come back. On the plus side: - it is a nice experience to stay in the little cabins - the view from the cabins is really amazing, and each of them have an outdoor fireplace that you can use until 10pm. Staying outside with the fire and watching the stars is... More

The whole idea of a pod-based hotel is quite stunning; so are the views overlooking the vally from the "room" and the quietness. But considering the hefty rate is easy to find some weak spots. The service, as other rewievers have noticed. The hours of the restaurant. The complete lack of amenities in the room or in the bathroom (not... More
