We stayed here on our way to La Paz. Pretty average room. Right near the road, but generally secure enough. Check in clerk was pretty disinterested in checking us in, think we caught her in the middle of a telenovela. Others were a little more friendly. We had to bring in our sleeping bags, as it was chilly without any... More

We did not stay at Hotel Los Caracoles as it was booked out. However, we did our whale watching tour through them, and I highly recommend it. At the hotel they were friendly and welcoming. Our guide on the boat was wonderful. Spoke good English (as our Spanish was mediocre) and really educated us on the wales and life in... More

We staid at this hotel for one night on our recent drive down the Baja. It is fairly conveniently located and is easy to find. It is very cute on the outside, but very basic on the inside. We paid more money to get a king bed and a room with an air conditioner. While the evening was cool, and... More

We stayed here one night with two children, 8 and 10. I agree with a previous review that the hotel is akin to am older Motel 6. The road traffic is pretty load. Our room didn't have AC, but the ceiling fan was sufficient. Wifi was spotty and unreliable. The chair in the room was a patio chair. Overall, fine... More

Driving from SD to Cabo, this is a natural stopping point for many travelers. I was no exception. Guerrero Negro rises up from the highway like Vegas does driving in from LA....just not as nice. That being said, there are really only a few hotel options. Reading the reviews of others, I opted for Hotel Los Caracoles. Overall, I would... More

The hotel itself is ok. The proximity to the road and location next to the gas station are not ideal. There was noise from the passing cars much of the night. Music coming from cars driving by as well as from those at the adjacent gas station. The bed and bathroom were ok. There was a layer of dust on... More

I have used Los Caracoles for the past 3 years for my whale watching groups . Staff is friendly, especially helpful is Elisa. Rooms are clean, wifi access, and a handy little coffee shop restaurant next door. GN is a 1 business town, home of the Exportadoras de Sal. the largest salt exporters in the world. no luxury accommodations,

Caracoles (Sea Shells) is one of the two better hotels in Guerrero Negro. A good place to stay and arrange your whale watching trip. The service is friendly and they can make all arrangements to see the whales. The rooms are spartan with typical furnishings and Spanish only TV stations. Good hot water. Right nearby is a nice convenience store/cafe... More

We were told about this hotel by others, it was okay and one of the best in town but definitely not something to write home about. expensive for quality of rooms, asked 780 pesos for a junior suite with king size but negotiated to 645 pesos. More than what we have been paying elsewhere for an average room. coffee machines... More

We pre-booked Caracoles by Email. We said we would be late arriving as the first bus of the day left Ensenada at 14-00 for a 10 hour journey. With the clocks going forward one hour in Guerrero Negro we arrived at Caracoles at 01-30 . They had not kept our room. We were given the only but more expensive room... More
