If you're driving across Baja California, this is the place to stay north of Loreto and south of Encinada! If I recall correctly, the room was something like 450 pesos = $35.00 or maybe it was 750 pesos = $57.00 because it was late and I don't remember exactly, but whatever it was, it was worth it! This is by... More

We stayed here for a night on our way to Bhaia de Los Angeles. The room that we took is like a renovated museum, with a lot of wood work; two large king-size bed, with a mezzanine floor with two more single beds. The lighting of the room suits the context of the location. It is a nice place to... More

My partner and I traveled to Loretto, BC in May and decided to stay at the BajaCactus Motel. What a pleasant surprise...beautiful appointments, large, spacious rooms, gorgeous facility!! I was not feeling well after my dinner so it was a luxury to have such a nice place to feel bad...it could have been a lot worse...for that I am forever... More

Easily one of the nicest rooms to be found in all of Baja. Clean, great secured parking and a friendly staff. They need to get their website finished so reservations will be easier to make. Glad that this is a 'pet friendly' motel as I always travel with a small dog.

This hotel was awesome. I booked two rooms in advance over the phone about 4 weeks ahead of schedule, I had no confirmation number etc. The person I talked with spoke limited English and I speak limited Spanish, so I wasn't really sure if I would have a room at all!!! We were running late and I had read on... More

This was our first stop on our Baja Motorcycle Trip. We were NOT expecting something this nice! Nicer than most places we stay at on trips through the USA. The fit and finish is rustic Mexican and it is very clean. Having several beds in one room really helped too since we were a group of three. We each had... More

Stayed last night at a "five star" hotel in Loreto that cost $200/USD per night. Okay it was a resort and was nice, but for $500 pesos at the Baja Cactus I can honestly say the room was probably close to the five star. It's a no-brainer. Ask for the new rooms. Pet friendly!

This was a stop on a 10 day bus trip to Cabo from Yuma and other than the motel being located some distance from the bus depot (which would not be an issue for most people) I have absolutely nothing but good to say. On the plus side, a wonderful señora who worked at the bus depot offers to give... More

Love this hotel! We drive the Baja every year, both ways, and stop here every chance we get, depends on the time of day we arrive in town. Great staff and Mama Esponosa's is just next door. A real jewel at the price of costume jewelry!

Very nice for being in such a small town and next to a gas station. The rooms are large, beds are comfy, and the decor is pleasant. Compared to some of the concrete block motels you find in other parts of central Baja, the attention to the decor and architecture is some to be appreciated.
