I don't even know where to start with this hotel. It rates one of the top worst hotels I've ever stayed in my life. The rooms are seriously outdated. The beds are like sleeping on plywood the washrooms are grim. They served us raw hotdogs as sausages for breakfast. We ended up feeding them to the cats that roam the... More

Kudos to whoever photoshopped the resort photos for Hotels.com it must have taken a LONG time to clean them up. There are two rooms in each building. Ours have connecting doors, with 4 cm gaps at the top, so you can easily be spied upon and you can have conversations at normal voice levels between rooms, so I hope you... More

The beach here is amazing. There is a hot spring under the resort and ocean. You can burn your buns if not careful on the spring coming up through the sand. While swimming you can feel the hot springs under your feet. I really liked it. Some days the water is as calm as a lake and other days it... More

We just returned from a few days at this fishing-oriented lodge, and returned thrilled with the fishing arranged through the resort staff. The captain, crew, and conditions exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding for the duration of our stay, as was the hospitality and graciousness of the staff. This is truly a diamond, albeit in the rough, in a... More

Love this place. This is the third time I have stayed here. The staff and food are wonderful and the fishing is amazing. The rooms near the pool are great. They are a little small but we spent most of our time fishing or in the pool so it is not a problem. Will absolutely stay here again.

This is a true family owned and run Mexico Beach Resort. It looks like it craters mostly to the sportfishing individuals. It is a very basic resort with very nice people running it who wants to ensure you have a good time. Rooms are very basic with either a king bed or two double beds, very small bathroom, air conditioning,... More

We were staying close by in a private house. We had "amigos" privileges through our friends which allowed us to use the pool and get a discount on food and drink but any visitor can buy a day or weekly pass. I have been here in Baja approximately 8-9 times and I love the pool at the Buena Vista. You... More

Plus: Beautiful grounds and beach area. Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent maid service. Peaceful (off season). Con: isolated. Small fishing village about 3 miles away with limited good food choices (almost no fish!). Rooms are stark, small, outdated, with THIN walls. No hair dryer, TV, etc. Extremely limited menu in restaurant (good food). Minimal bar. Surrounding area is pretty run... More

We enjoyed three days of R & R at Hotel Buena Vista this past weekend. Lovely location, grounds beautifully kept and a wonderful warm team of staff members. We used the American food plan which provided good food in an outstanding area of the resort, overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Would certainly return again.

Wife and I took a day trip from Cabo to the East Cape side. We found this little hidden resort and decided to have lunch. The Chef (Reubin) came out to our table to explain day specials. He also mentioned that if you bring your catch he will cook it for you. Reubin is second to none on preparing a... More
