My wife and I stopped for breakfast at Talbot Arm. It was wonderful!! We spent the night in Haines Junction and didn't have a great dinner. So we decided to stop for breakfast. We each had their omelets, which were very good and made with three eggs. The toast and home fires were very good, too. Service was very good,... More

To all the people who gave this place 3 stars or less, if you can find a better place between Whitehorse and Fairbanks you should stay there. The view is terrific, it has very good food, the rooms are reasonable (about $105 US, but like everyone says - you have no choice for several miles in either direction) and there... More

It has been a couple years since we stayed here but they keep improving the place. The rooms have been done over since the last time we were here and are much nicer now. When we first stayed here they didn't have Wifi throughout the motel now they do. The rooms have a mini frig which is nice when travelling.... More

2nd time staying here. Once heading north nov 2013, this time heading to Haines. First time it was a welcome site on our trip from Whitehorse and the food was amazing. This time the food was mediocre and they had an incredibly hard time with our american debit/credit cards. Ended up paying for our meal with cash without the exchange... More

We stayed here our last day on AlCan, moving to Fairbanks. We had four pets with us. The hotel is great for pets ...there is an up charge but not unreasonable. Some other reviewer said this motel had Motel 6 like interior which is about right. Shower worked great. Towels are thin but really? It is the middle of nowhere!... More

This hotel was a welcome sight on our trip on the Alcan. This was my families last night on the AlCan and the restaurant served a good breakfast the next day. There were no creature comforts other than wifi (remember its the AlCan)and there was a decent northern lights display.

Honestly, the only place in Canada on the Haines between Haines and the border on the Haines highway to eat, gas up or stay overnight. If you stop for gas, say hello to Dennis. Quintessential Canadian, quiet, pragmatic, and a real good person. Offered a place for my Motorbike in January to overnight in a warm shop but I pushed... More

I really appreciated coming upon this tiny little town in the middle of nowhere. All I wanted was a warm bed and a shower in the morning. When I checked into my room there was a french woman that was reprimanding staff in front of customers. I felt really bad for the girl who was visually upset. I went ahead... More

Clean modest room. Full service restaurant and bar with pretty straightforward menu. Didn't need the plug in the night I stayed but appreciated that they were there. Friendly and helpful staff. Small gift shop.

rooms are old but kept clean, beds are comfortable. Most are away from road noise (traffic is pretty sparse) Food options are pretty good, often special is worth getting before it runs out. Staff and locals are usually friendly. I avoid the bar if sports/politics are being discussed. I keep to myself at night, locals are always friendly but....
