A hidden gem, worth the five minutes extra drive from the government campground if you are going eastbound. It is right on the shore of Kluane Lake and we were fortunate enough to get a spot on the shore. The electricity didn't work at that particular one, but we didn't care. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There is a... More

The cottonwoods RV park and cabins in one of the most spectacular places to stay on the Alaska highway.  This location is incredibly remote and incredibly beautiful.  They have RV facilities, tent camping, and two cabins.  We rented a cabin, which had two double beds, a sitting area, no plumbing or electricity.  Each cabin has a marine toilet in an... We stayed 3 nights in one of the two cabins. 3 adults (2 double beds). We loved it. Roomy enough. No running water, no electricity in the cabin. Nice propane fireplace. Nice picnic tables next to the cabin as well as close by at the waterfront. Outhouse behind cabin. Office closes at 20:00, selling snacks and beverages. Don't forget to... More

As others have said, this is a beautiful place. Some sites are electric only, some water and electric and none have sewer. There are also a lot of primitive sites and a few cabins. The generate their own power here, so the sites are only 15 amps. Wifi is spotty, but the owner really tries to make it work and... More

We have stayed at Cottonwood twice--once last year in a tent and this year in their cabin. The place is quiet, well-kept, and the views are the best. The location is right on Lake Kluane and very close to the ranger stations (questions about trails or wildlife), Soldier Summit 0.4 mile hike (the place where the AlCan Highway opening was... More

If you want to stay along Kluane Lake, this is a good spot. Rates are a bit high for a tent site with no services ($30/night), but the washrooms were very nice and clean, the showers were well kept and clean (and unlimited/no extra charge). They don't have garbage collection, so you have to pack out all you pack in.... More

Have stayed in the cabin and also stayed with RV. Great location, beautiful area, friendly owners. Since Trip Advisor requires 200 characters, I'm just typing away here to reach the minimum. Why have a character minimum?

We visited this campground twice on our journey through Canada/Alaska since it is in a beautiful setting! Ask for a site at the lakeshore, those are the most beautiful ones, even when some of them don't have electricity, it is worth going for a lakeshore site. Restrooms and showers are spotless, WIFI is available, but only on the front deck... More

This was our first ever overnight stay at any RV campgrounds anywhere. We don't own or drive RV but needed a place to stay on the way to Alaska. Hence we decided to stay at the Cottonwood RV Park on Kluane Lake because there are not that many accommodations along Alaska Highway between Whitehorse, Yukon and Tok, Alaska. We also... More
