Old world charm amongst the solitude of nature. I was very happy I had a chance to stay here for 3 nights while taking in some splitboarding on the parks trails. Quiet, classy and gorgeous surroundings create a sense of relaxation not matched by many of the places I've been to prior. Great place for a solo traveller wanting to... More

The staff is friendly and the room is cosy. After three days hiking in the cold of Quebec's winter, this hotel is very comforting. We really enjoy the bar with the huge fireplace in the middle and the enormous windows offering an amazing view of the outside.

Beautiful setting for fall colours! Chic choc mountains are something everyone should experience, from Moose at the side of the road to seeing black bears eating berries up on the summits. The hotel is very nice, renovated rooms as well as excellent food. One caution, you will be off line!, no cell service, only wifi in the bar area, but... More

We debated camping in Parc de la Gaspésie but our stop at le Gîte du Mont-Albert was totally worth it. Has the feel of an old railroad hotel, at the bottom of 5 peaks. Offers a quiet, serene retreat in the middle of the provincial park. The rooms are all newly renovated and very stylish, but simplicity remains the key.... More

Located in the Gaspé National Park ,it is now run by la Sepaq. At my last visit a long while ago it was the Quebec School of Hostellery for the summer months ,it was one of the greatest spot in Quebec .It is now run by the gouvernment with a unionised staff ,THE SETTING REMAINS OUTSTANDING FOR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ,but... We spent a few days doing hiking and visiting the region. Rooms are all newly renovated so the place is very clean. Food is good but the menu never changes. The place is great if you want to take a break from work. No phone, no internet however, Wifi is available on the main floor near the bar and reception.... More

We stayed a couple of nights in one of the chalets, ideally located by a river, with a mountain view. Well equipped, very clean and comfortable, with a patio and an outdoor picnic table and benches. Will definitely be going back there again, though it's not a budget option! No phone signal or internet in the chalet, but wifi available... More

Took 1:30 to get served. We finally got some attention by 10:00 PM. Portion sizes were minimalist and food quality was OK; nothing to brag about! Obviously, price was way above what this should have deserved...

Gite Mont-Albert is ideally located right in the Gaspesie National Park. Rooms have just be renovated (as of July 2014) with upgraded bathrooms and comfy beds. The restaurant is outstanding. Wifi is available in the lobby- free. A great getaway.
