This was our second stay at Lac Morency. We were there 2 years ago for a 1-week summer vacation and decided to go back since we loved it the first time. Very condusive for a holiday with a toddler. The second time was more of a luke-warm experience. We found that things had gone down hill over time. Furniture seemed... More

My husband and I stayed here for a week in November 2013. It is a quiet time of year and between seasons. We still had a wonderful week. We stayed in a 1 bedroom up on the hill. The accommodations were very nice with a large bathroom and a Jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. The bedroom has a queen size... More

Unfortunately, a stay in the condos here highlights the fact that it must once have been much nicer. While the staff and service were good, and our accommodation very clean, the place still felt neglected: not enough light in any of the rooms, window mechanisms broken, countertops damaged, beds no longer comfortable. There must once have been a lovely vineyard,... More

This is the second year that I have visited with my two daughters - we stayed in a studio in Building F for 5 days. The amentities are great for families - we went down to the lake every day and used the kayaks, canoes and pedal boats. We also enjoyed the outdoor pool daily. All of these amenities are... More

We love this out-of-the-way resort in the heart of the Laurentians. We are Hilton timeshare owners, and this isn't exactly on par with most of the resorts we visit, But it has location, charm and a wonderful staff. There is plenty to do on site, and the proximity to Mont Tremblant, Sainte Sauveur and Montreal make for easy day trips... More

We are Wyndham owners and booked here, as we wanted to visit Quebec Province and liked the idea of staying outside of a City. We had a one bedroom deluxe on the first floor in Building E. We had a one level unit with a/c. We only stayed 3 days and quite frankly did not make use of many of... More

Just got back from this hotel a few days ago… Unfortunately the week we were there the weather did not co-operate with us and we had rain and cold for 4 days… And at this particular resort there is not much to do if bad weather… So we jumped in our vehicle and made our way out to Montreal and... Hello from our studio unit in bldg H! As you can imagine, the free wifi is working well! When we planned our trip, it was to be a week of sun and fun spent in, on and around the lake .... but mother nature pulled a trick on us and sent fall in a bit early :( This is an... More

This is a wonderful resort tucked away in a great place. It's very kid friendly with lots of free activities. Our one bedroom room in building H was perfect with a well stocked kitchen, nice roomy bathroom and a comfy queen sized bed. Minor anion eps amounted to the high prices; 1.). The restaurant was excellent but you pay quite... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
St-Hippolyte’s Auberge du Lac Morency is nestled in a charming location in the heart of the Laurentians, just 50 minutes north of Montreal. Built in 1934 and completely renovated, this warm and inviting Inn is the soul of an international holiday resort. At the beginning of the 90s, 4 rooms had already been added to the 10 original, and since 2001, 26 new luxurious units have been built. Our Restaurant:The Auberge du Lac Morency’s restaurant staff is composed of gastronomy lovers… they appreciate textures, aromas and flavors. Both kitchen and dining room employees are proud to be able to allow our guests to live wonderful moments. Everything is taken into consideration in order to attain a high level of excellence that our clientele will no doubt appreciate. For example, our Director wanted to offer smoked meats and fish… a smoker was thus built which allows our chef to express his originality. Your visit to the Auberge du Lac Morency wouldn’t be complete without having tasted our smoked salmon! Why not try it with a glass of white wine chosen from the hundreds of choices present on our wine card.Early on Sunday mornings, at the chez Hippolyte restaurant, our entire team prepares to serve our delicious brunch. Brioches, croissants, fine cheeses, fruits, salads and cooked meats are on the menu and will make both young and old wish they could eat more. Our table d’hôte is changed regularly, usually as the seasons themselves do. Our chef chooses lighter foods for the warmer seasons and richer ingredients in the winter. Our Spa:We offer Swedish and hot volcanic rock massages. Esthetic and body wrap treatments are also available.Offer yourself this precious gift and you will find balance between your body and soul.Hope to see you all in the laurentians! ... more   less
