My wife and I spent a night at the Hotel L'Oiseliere while driving through Quebec, Canada. We had a very clean and attractively furnished first-floor room with a door that opened onto the hotel's interior garden, pool and hot tub atrium. The staff were very polite and were happy to address us in English or French. They gave us some... More

We needed a rest stop on our way home from PEI to Ottawa and picked Montmagny. Our daughter did some research and found Hotel L'Oiseliere for us. What a gem. We also enjoyed a fabulous dinner and breakfast in their dining room. The staff at the front desk and especially the ladies in the dining room were wonderful.

We recently stayed at this hotel recently with our children and dog. We arrived late(after 11pm) and were greeted by a very friendly staff member. She spoke English and gave me extra towels for the room. A nice touch--often you have to call the front desk after you've settled and realized there are only two towels! The hallways are a... More

We stopped here on our way to the East Coast. Room decor isn't great (even my kids thought the bed spreads were ugly!) but hotel is actually nice. They have 2 pools one indoor and an outdoor with a life guard at times, they have picnic tables, swing and play set near the outdoor pool. They also have a spa.... More

We've stayed at L'Oiseliere several times before and always enjoyed it. The staff is welcoming and tries very hard to accommodate our inability to communicate in French. I was a bit annoyed to find not a single word of English on the dinner menu, surely this sends the wrong message to unilingual visitors, but the waitresses patiently explained everything. The... Staff here were very helpful and informative. The room (121) was right off the lobby so I shouldn'g have been surprised by hearing the conversation going on there (I could have done something about but the annoyance didn't last long enough for me to get to the door. The room was clean and the tub was a bit small for... More

Having given a 5 star review to my first visit, I have to admit that I wasn't expecting anything less. First experience had been a pleasant one all around. Unfortunately, it wasn't going to happen this time. Came to a room in the evening which had hair in the sink and bath. Bad start. Unpacked all my suitcases and bags.... More

We arrived without a reservation but since it was just out of peak season rooms were available. We had a lovely room with two queen size beds, a small refrigerator and wood flooring. Everything was neat and clean. The room is reasonably priced, however, when we added in the dinner and breakfast package the rate became even better. Dinner and... More

Our first room was in the older section - view of the rooftop and foul odour. We upgraded at a cost of course. The next room was small but more modern. Air conditioner was very loud. NO elevator so be prepared to drag your bags up the stairs. The interior garden was nice to look at. The birds are cute.... More

We stayed for one night and did like it. It is within walking distance of the town center and close to the motorway. The staff was competent, the rooms big and clean, and we enjoyed using the pool and the sauna. It is interesting with the tropical garden inside the hotel, something new...We also had dinner in the hotel and... More
