We spent one night in this hotel, we arrived quite late in the evening but the owner received us very kindly and answered to all our questions on the location, the whales and the restaurant for dinner! The Hotel is quite old but well maintained, in the last year lots of changes have been done by the new property and... More

First impression was alright. Dinner was quite tasty. Do not expect to pay what they agreed too. We paid 60% more than originally agreed. The mattress was all springs and all of their floors are slanted so badly that you feel nauseous. Breakfast is also very inconvenient. They will only begin serving at 9 so early risers are not accommodated.... More

Older hotel but very clean and reasonablly priced -- was recommended by the Fairmont as they were full. If you have the option look at several rooms som have much better layouts than others. The room + meal packge is a good deal but take the a la carte -- the buffet is rather bland. Th staff are very helpful... More

New management from last June, this hotel has a warm welcome, a very kind manager and a very particular atmosphere. I thing it's going to be remodeled a little, but it's country style and its simplicity make of him a place where you can't miss to go. Do not expect any luxury, but quite it's lacking it will be what... More

Stayed at the hotel third week of September. I have never seen so many buses full of seniors. The restaurant was packed (the reasonably priced one) at dinner time. The main entrance was clogged with buses...making it difficult to get our car in. I like seniors but any time you get 3 to 4 busloads of any age group in... More

The place is horrendous. Before we came we called to check availability and make sure there is wifi internet (which was essential for us to plan our next day). We were told what was the price for all 5 of us (parents and 3 children). When we came we were given a code for the wifi internet the guy pulled... More

Everything is very dated, the reservations were a nightmare, and it was clear from the carpet that it was "pet friendly". Also, no wireless internet available, you have to take your computer to the lobby. The location is not bad, its not far from restaurants and the river. The breakfast was ok, but there are better places. If I were... More

Travelled with my parents-- they stayed in a separate room. Weather was cool and a little muggy-- so it wasn't too hot at night. Able to open windows in BR and LR. Needs updating, but we went on day trips, so bulk of our time was travelling. Nice kitchenette with fridge... Within walking distance of a Dollarama and Metro. The... More

When travelling with dogs it is always a challenge to find good accommodation. The Manoir Charlevoix met our needs. The location is excellent, close to the village (within walking distance), yet away from the noise of the busy streets. From our condo we had excellent views of the St. Lawrence River, and watched the seagulls soar through the sky in... More

I stayed at Manoir Charlevoix during Labor Day Week-end with my parents, my two younger siblings and the family dog. We absolutely loved our stay there. The staff was nice and friendly (they were very kind to us even though my dad lost many tennis balls while trying to play with my sister). The room or condo as they call... More
