This was our 3rd visit in about 9 years, overall it was a bit of a disappointment, staff is somewhat distant and indifferent, room needs a makeover, peeling wallpaper and the room's TV had a nasty loud hum when the picture changed. The biggest disappointment was the grounds, a real cutback on flowers and landscaping was noticed. The walk-up area... more

This was our second time visiting the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, and we had just as great of a time as the first. The only downfall was the gloomy weather, along with the intense fog and occasional rain...however it almost added to the old-time charm of the property. We booked the 'Deluxe King Room' -- very spacious, and more than... more

We stayed two nights at the beginning of July 2009. It rained the entire time we were there so unfortunately the views of the beautiful Charlevoix region and the St. Lawrence were not the greatest. The hotel is typical of the grand old Canadian railroad hotels, though perhaps not quite as nice as the Frontenac, or the Royal York, or... more

We recently stayed her for a couple of days while exploring the Charlevoix region. This hotel is a mini version of the castle-like tourist hotels famous in western Canada. Once you drive up you know you have really arrived for some pampering. Think Chateau Lake Louise on a smaller scale. Great pool which we enjoyed daily, nice ambience and good... more

We knew what to expect out of this hotel after reading the reviews. We loved our stay at the hotel because the room was beautifully appointed with a huge marble bathroom, plush towels and bathrobes, and four huge windows that brought into a great deal of light and a wonderful view. We enjoyed hiking on the hotel's trails, and seeing... more

We stayed here for 5 nights in July 2008 with a conference group. As a speaker at the meeting, we were given a room with a view of the river. That room was directly across from the elevators and was actually quite tiny. To enjoy the view, you needed to stand at the small window. Though the room was nicely... more

My girlfriend and I went on a road-trip of Quebec and wanted to stay at Le Manoir Richlieu for a bit of a treat. The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful in finding us an upgraded room and the bellstaff were also very efficient. When it came time to eat we found all but 1 restaurant closed (which... more

I stayed here for a 3 days conference and would love to come back for leisure. If you have the time and are in the Eastern part of Canada it may be worthwhile to drive up to this beautiful resort. It is difficult to give this a 5 rating as I think it is out of the way and unless... more

Room was large and had great view of St. Lawrence. Bed was extremely comfortable. Nice location for a romantic getaway in the off-season. Service was average. Restaurants were expensive but the vegetarian menu, seafood and desserts were fantastic! Hotel was quiet in the off-season which resulted in several dining areas being closed (very disappointing). Great location in Charlevoix! More than... more

My boyfriend planned a romantic getaway for the two of us at the Manoir Richelieu. The intention was there, but the hotel was a total deception. 1. A friend of ours stayed there the weekend before us and got a much better room for less. We told the hotel and luckily they gave us a credit of the difference for... more
